Well, some of you know that I used to be a gamemaster for tabletop RPGs from about 1994 until 2006. One day, I got bored, sat down and thought, "What if I could design better PQ scenarios than the Nexon writers?" Then a small voice inside asked who couldn't. Thus, about 2 years ago I began writing down some ideas. Present feedback if you like. And do please keep in mind that: this project was begun before 4th job even came out, let alone Pirates, Cygnus, or for that matter many equips/items/enemies you can access today. The Epic Chronicles PQ, version 4: Castles in the Sky with town of Miliae Access to this PQ exists in a new town - Miliae, the Village of Sorcerers. In this village, every single NPC is a magician of some sort, and wear robes of varying colors to reflect their powers. I will detail this town before describing the PQ. The town is accessible only by those wearing a Diamond Necklace - a 0 stat, 0 level item which would be a rare drop from Manon and Griffey. Removing the necklace at any point returns the player to Leafre. The town itself, accessible from Leafre, is a vision of unsurpassed loveliness incomparable to any other location yet to exist in the game. Simple wooden benches rest near a flawless ultramarine pool that flows mystically with the wind. Its residences, like its gates carved from the milky ivory trees that gild the village like great diamond towers, are beset around the entrance by shining gemstones and carved delicately but ornamentally at the top, like Corinthian columns disjoined from their Temples. In the sky floats a great land mass surrounded by pearl gates. At the city's far limit sit a pure marble shrine that cannot be entered and a short jumping maze of hedges surrounding a red portal, the PQ's entrance. Lightning bolts periodically fall on random points within the village, dealing damage equal to the target's maximum HP minus 1. Any time Saradin (the PQ boss) is defeated, these bolts stop coming for 15 minutes. One of the town's portals leads to a garden similar to the Sakura Cellions maps in Amoria, with a tattered wooden sign that reads simply Beware with many slash marks on it and some evidence of burns. A second portal leads to an enclosed map with no platforms, in which runs an immense creature known as The Beast, which has a body and running style similar to Wild Kargos, only three times larger, with bearlike claws and rugged armorlike scales. It has four tentacles and two heads: one similar to Horntail's left head and one similar to the Nemean Lion. You'll want to avoid this monster, because it's ultra-powerful and will make mincemeat of any team within the PQ's level range. Once every week, for six hours |
