qwan456 : Well, a BSoD should have an error code that shows up with it. BSoD are usually cause by hardware failure, corrupted drivers, or memory problems. But if it's restart too fast for you be able to see, then you have to disable Automatic Restart. Or you could just take a picture of it. Anyways, to disable it, if you can that is: Start > Right Click on My Computer > Properties > "Advanced" or "Advanced system settings" for Vista > Under Startup and Recovery, click on Settings > Under System Failure, uncheck Automatically Restart. i have this problem as well, and i tried this, and IT WORKED. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Aulis : If you get a BSOD, there's something wrong with your computer. Could be the drivers, damaged file system via hard drive, RAM, Anti-Virus is faulty, or your computer is overheating. There are many many more possibilities; those are just a few. If you could write down the error message, I could tell you what's wrong. Quoted from another thread.

tails00333 : Welll first of all I'd run ccleaner to clean up the damage caused by the memory dump. You should probably try to defragment or use the registry tab in ccleaner to fix some errors. If all these don't work just get more RAM, it should then work. It might also be your Antivirus. Whenever I tried to play maplestory when I was running a scan with Spysweeper I got a blue screen. Thank GOD I don't have spysweeper anymore >.> SHEEP WHERE IS YOU?~ COME BACK TO HEROS PLS D:

When it's booting up, go to boot-up options or some other options and then return to status when it was at factory-I did that. It works but everything gets deleted. My mum also blamed ms, but i blamed my dad's friends daughter who downloaded internet casino just cuz it popped up.

But yes, BSoD is usually caused by a hardware problem, or some random OS hiccup. MS had absolutely NOTHING whatsoever with the BSoD and cannot give you viruses. Tell your mom she should find out how computers work before indiscriminately blaming something.l

BSoD is just like when you work too hard you faint. It's exactly what your computer's doing. My comp gets BSoD when I play Combat Arms and it crashes cause well I don't know. I worked it too hard I guess. If you want to avoid this, Try upgrading w/ more RAM or a new Video Card. Those two are most likely the main reasons your computer runs well.

Whats up with ".....of death"? Lots of people use it YLOD yellow light of death for PS3 RLOD red light of death for Xbox360 BLOD blue light of death for PC I just started hearing it Now I hear it everywhere

BSoD is a miscommunication between software (your OS) and hardware in your computer.

There are many reason why your computer could get a BSoD as I and other have stated before. But let's just ignore that and get to how you say your RAM is what makes your computer runs well (the Video Card only determine how well it runs only during games, btw). More RAM does not increase the performance of your computer. What it does is provide you more stability to a point when NEEDED. Meaning, if you only need 2GB of RAM, then you won't notice any difference from having 12GB of RAM. What make your computer runs well is your CPU, as it's like the brains of the computer. Telling each components what it needs to do, to make it short.

look at the error code and tell me it. It most happens with low ram memory (to many used and you did not had enough for the useage), overheating (happends never/barely), videocard personaly I never have a problem, just keep maintance in your pc and upgrade it. Use google or a tech forum for even better anwsers. :D @qwan A CPU is the brain work but wit a crap graphics card you have the same results as having a crap CPU, so get a decent CPU and a GOOD videocard, because the videocard does ALOT work!

Your CPU handles everything that is going on your computer, so that's the most important component. Of course if you are going to game, you would need to focus more on the GPU, as games are GPU bound first and then CPU bound. If you are just going to watch movies and surf the net, then their really isn't a need for good GPU, as you won't even use it. That's when an IGP will do. Edit: of course, all of the components are important, however. RAM, hard drive, video card, CPU, etc. They are all needed for your computer to work.
