Got dc at zakum, help me pls

Hello every1, I hope you can help me, I have a laptop, it used to be Windows Vista, but I changed it, when it was Vista I always used to get dc at the 2nd body, so I changed it to Windows XP, now that I went to zakum, I got dc at the 3rd body and then appeared a box saying "error code: 38(i dont remember if it was 36,38 or 39, but i think it was 38). If someone know how to fix it, pls tell me. Ty

Please try use non-short-making-words, EG , pls,thx etc(P/C,W/e Acceptible) but anyways Try running in 2000 or Just alt+tab in 2nd body.

doesnt ur laptop need like 2-3gb RAM to go zak?cause my laptop has 3 gb of RAM and it didnt dc but my other laptop has like 1.5gb RAM and it also dced at zak's 3rd body

Wow. First, it was put it into XP compatibility mode for Vista. Now it's put it in Windows 2000 compatibility mode~! xD It would help you give us the exact error. And like every error, there should be a description of the error. Also providing us the specification of your computer may help as well. Not 2 GB or 3 GB. On my Vista, it doesn't even get to 2GB when I have MS on (that's with a bunch of other processes running in the background). xD I'll say this now. More RAM doesn't equal performance. Only stability when needed.

He stated that he HAD Vista, but NOW he got Windows XP. Also, I've played MS on my Vista (I've Zak on it as well without any problems), and I'm pretty damn sure a lot of others have too. Plus, you are suggesting him to get a new computer (which will cost a few hundred dollar just for MS, btw), when most computer will have Vista preinstalled anyways? Edit: @above: What's the video card? It should be located in the display tab of the DxDiag window. Your specs seem good so far, btw.

sadly, gun's right. Vista's an evil operating system trying to murder programs like MapleStory and anything else that runs correctly on another OS. Though you don't need to buy a new computer, just change the OS. If you have an XP install disk, I'd use that. Otherwise you can wait for 7 to come out & get the free upgrade. I'm running the Windows 7 RC right now & MS works wonderfully (except I cant use windowed mode because my screen resolution's set to 1680x1050 i dunno why it does that) so you could try downloading the RC until then if you don't have any other options, though it's an excruciatingly large download.

Or should we blame it on XP and suggest him to downgrade to Windows ME? o.o Edit: Also, it would be helpful, if you provide the actual Error Code with the Description that comes with it. It would probably help more.

Maybe it's your internet connection? I have a question: How do you dc? Is it like your screen freezes and you DC, or Zakum is moving and you hit him but nothing happenes (you know, when you use a pot but nothing happens). The fast or slow DC? If it's the fast DC, then it's probably because MS overloads with the Zakum's attacks and stuff, and you get DCed. If it's the slow speed, then it's probably internet or something. Wireless?

Oh, well, it's not your specs that for sure. xD So we would need more information on that error code, since giving us a code that you even not sure of won't help, if we don't know what that error said after it (unless someone had experienced with it before). Have you properly updated your video card driver when you switched to XP? Well, compare the driver version (same place as the dxdiag window you got the info on your GPU) with the latest version. http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winxp_185.85_whql.html If it's an older version, try updating it. Also, as StealthEXE said, it could also be a connection problem.
