So I was walking around Henesys on my new main. Sadly I was hacked and had to restart. None of you care about that though, so I'll move on. I come across a group of Hene hoars. Dressed top to bottom with NX. So, out of the five, one was actually literate. Until he said year's. YEAR'S! Is that the correct way to say it? NO! My inner grammar nazi was FURIOUS! So I corrected the guy. Then all his friends were like "sdfu noob" Then the guy calls me an idiot. What for? All I did was correct him. I didn't mean to sand bag him. Was it right for them to go off on me? They KS'd me an hour or two after the so called "incident". (Yeah, yeah. I know I'm a moron for stressing over this one little thing. It just makes me kind of angry)

That's henehoes. The only way to get rid of them is to keep your friends closer, but your enemies even closer. The way to get rid of henehoes is very cruel. :s I can't mention it here.

First of all, it's not that we don't care about you getting hacked, it's that we can't do anything about it. Second, of course it wasn't right to go off on you, but if you imagine you and those other jerks outside of MapleStory, you might realize they have an excuse for being illiterate (special ed, 9 year olds, etc.)

You probably went wrong when you went out of your way to bring up a misplaced apostrophe. Correcting said person won't really do any good, as he/she is unlikely to change how he/she speaks just because a random person instructed them so. His/her reaction is also unpredictable, but it can generally be assumed that you won't benefit from it. Unless, of course, it makes you feel smarter than them, but I won't even go into what's wrong with that. With half the population speaking like: "im go buy pot," stuff like this really isn't going to get you anywhere, and in this scenario, it was actually detrimental to the rest of your maple experience. Shortened: It's really not worth it to correct everybody's grammar.

"Year's"? A colloquial contraction of "year is"? It can also be used to describe something that belongs to a year such as "New Year's Day". Your inner grammar Nazi didn't quite make the status of Reichskanzler , did he? �_�

Technically, "year's" is correct. You must provide the exact text that the person has used it in, because "year's", in some contexts, is actually in its proper place.
