Why are my parent's so asian?

! I'm going to vent my anger out ... So yesterday, I asked my dad if I could buy a trampoline, and he like sure, we'll go look for 1 tomorrow. So now it's "tomorrow" and I'm like, let's go. My dad is like, why do you want a trampoline? you never went on one before. so I said, "yes I have been on one many times at my friends house, ( i use to go his house everyday) also, my little brother and I could go on it". So after I said that, my dad was like asking how long was that ago, and I said when I was like grade 4 or 5. So all of a sudden my dad's raised his voice and started saying how I'm too old to be playing on one, and that was a long time ago so it's different now. At that point, in my mind, I said to myself, k fine what ever, than he started saying, why don't you join a trampoline club, I'm like WHAT? A trampoline club? so I said "do you realize how stupid that sounds? Yah sure a book club might sound okay, but TRAMPOLINE?" so my dad replied, do what ever you want, if you want one, tell me why. BUT I JUST TOLD HIM WHY! Why can't they be less asian...
