Okay so I just got done making a Dimon Wand, and upon success I tell my friends that I've made an above avg one, and all around I get the "congrats"... until one spouts off that I "should have made a Blue Marine staff" because staffs do more dmg than wands do... (this is the part that gets me) even if the wand has a higher magic att than the staff. He then goes on to compare it to the dmg of 1 handed swords against 2 handed (2 handed being better). Did I just screw myself here? Should I have made the lesser m att staff, instead of the higher m att wand? Help would greatly be appreciated... *~Thanks~*

Wands and staves don't do different damage. You don't actually swing the weapon when you cast a spell, so it doesn't matter. All that matters is the magic attack. Well, attack speed does effect some spells, but I think only Explosion.

Wands and staves with the same amount of Magic Attack are the same in terms of damage, as far as I know. But with 1 Handed Swords vs. 2 Handed Swords, that's another story.

All I know is that Wands are Faster than Staves, not sure if that effects the casting rate of Ultimates or some skills. Lol sorry can't help much

Lol sorry can't help much Their weapon speed is different, yes, but that only affects weapon-attacking time, not spell-casting time. There is one exception to this, however: Explosion. Explosion is affected by the speed of the weapon and the Evil Staff gives the highest CPM (casts per minute). Other than that, the only relevance is the M.ATT.

wow you have one misinformed friend... unless things have changed in the past 3 years or so wands and staves have no difference in damage formula and the only preference is personal or for F/P since wand speed actually affects explosion casting time. This is also the reason why you don't see many blue marines around since 3 more levels will let you use a dimon wand as an endgame weapon at least before the ele wands/staves were released.
