Use enchanted scrolls on them? Once you get 20 rewards you get a free chair?

They are gacha boxes, but with a supposed higher chance of finding better items because of the less amount of crappy items they have. Although, it still very much a gamble.

You get more scrolls from Miwok I think. I did get Elemental Staff 1 on my very first Miwok. Then a lot of scrolls ranging from Chaos Scroll to 10% shield MATK to 30% bottomwear HP to 30% 1h BW ACC. And ended my run of 12 Miwoks with 2 below average Dark Anes. So just like Gacha. Profit may vary. :D

The only good thing I got in my 12 Artifact run was a Elemental Wand 4. The rest was below level 60 equips. It's pretty much a gamble.
