Maple+Steam=Ban?

Will I get banned if I run Maplestory and Steam together? For all of you who don't know what Steam is..http://store.steampowered.com/ I don't wanna run it without knowing if I would get banned or not so I wanted to ask you basilers =D.. 'Cause like with the hackshield and everything, idk what would happen

Nope. I played CS and Left 4 Dead while afk on maple and nothing happened. It's safe.
