Is there a way to bypass bigfoot's invincibility frames with acb. I know that with blast, there's a perfect distance where you'll be able to keep on hitting him. However, i don't know if one exists for acb. I'm level 128 so I don't have blast yet so i just want to know if it can be done with acb. Also, I have heaven's hammer but i don't know if it would be a good idea to use it when you've got bigfoot cornered where you want it. It might escape because of the 2 second HH delay.

There isn't a perfect distance with blast - it depends on the weapon speed, of course. The best way I found is to pin Bigfoot, then with blast (blast or acb, the only difference is the range) hit it. It kind of sinks into the wall, and then when it turns away from you then you can hit it again. I haven't found a way to consistently keep hitting it yet. As a side note, when killing bigfoot in this way, DPH is more important than DPM because your attacking speed is set by bigfoot's recoil.

@ Skrato: To be honest, I haven't tried experimenting with other speed weapons in a while, but with a fast 4 sword, there IS a near perfect distance where you can stand and blast away. From this distance, it's much like a Hero's Brandish, and almost all your hits will land on BF. As for using ACB on BF, same deal. Once in a while I'll have to use the occasional ACB when I'm on that annoying BF map with the tons of Elder Wraiths. Using ACB at the same distance hits all the wraiths, as well as BF. But as Skrato says, the more limited range of ACB is sometimes a problem when BF 'sinks' into the wall. Easiest way for now may be to just tank BF's touch damage because you may have to stand closer in order for all your ACBs to land, especially with no stance. Stance is a must if you're going to spam either Blast or ACB, without it, it's not going to work because you're going to be KBed every time. HH caused BF to trample me due to the cast time, yah. Well, I've only ever did it once, so I can't say for certain if you're able to maintain the pin after HH. I'll try it next BF again, forgot all about it. =P

This is the same way I kill it, and what I assumed to be the most reasonable way as well. The only problem with doing it this way is that paladins lose out on any speed advantage they might have over a drk's crusher for example. I've seen a paladin before that just spammed blast with a stonetooth. It didn't seem very good because he was constantly missing it during invincibility frames and rushing it back into the corner. Perhaps it is faster to do it like that but it definitely isn't the most practical way to kill it.

Whenever I try to spam blast, I notice a period where he sinks into the wall and no attacks can work on him. I don't see how it would be possible to hit it faster than I do, which means using blast as soon as it is ABLE to be hit. If I attack earlier the attack doesn't hit. Am I missing something? (no pun intended!)

(no pun intended!) Yeah, with blast, you can hit it even during it's invincibility frames. (When he's sinking into the wall.) You just need to stand at the right distance away from him. At least, that's what i've heard from sleepywood forums and such.

I'm pretty lazy I just spam Blast on BF but then again all that will change once I get some stance then I can start working on technique. @mexicanpage ACB is advanced charge blow.

(no pun intended!) The trick to spamming your attack is stance. You need a very decent level of it before it'll work. Try getting your stance to lvl 2x, and go back to try again, you'll notice a huge difference. x) @ mexicanpage: ACB = Advance charge Blow.

airyaxe : Yeah, with blast, you can hit it even during it's invincibility frames. (When he's sinking into the wall.) You just need to stand at the right distance away from him. I investigated it due to hunting him on my Night Lord... (who has a fast(4) weapon, which my Paladin doesn't) As far as I can tell it works like this -> attack. target(s) selected, damage is dealt (visible on HP bars for normal mobs, and the fact that you gain exp at this point if it dies) (some delay due to distance) -> damage visibly appears (over monster's head), monster begins KB animation. (600ms delay, can still be hit) -> moves to visibly "stunned" animation, cannot be hit (600 ms delay) -> monster returns to normal. With a fast weapon (4+booster) you're doing 100/min, which is right on that 600ms mark. If you stand farther away, you increase the delay before the first hit starts KBing, and can "acquire" the target before it enters the invincible frame, though it's still KB'd from the first attack. This lets you hit it again without missing. If you stand too close, the delay is short and by the time you attack again, it's already invincible.

Skrato, the faster the weapon is, the more accurate hits it deals to BF. If one Blast lands and the other one always misses, that means you 're TOO far from BF (Situation #1). When 3 Blasts land and the 4th one always misses, that means you 're not close enough to the " spot " where you can spam Blast (Situation #2). And when you can land about 3+ Blasts on BF but you notice that every a few secs you keep getting hit by its touch damage, that means you 're TOO close to BF (Situation #3). So basically, the " spot " is somewhere between Situation # 2 and 3. Situation #1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf_qfHnvGug (youtube) (The Paladin was not spamming Blast, that's why all of 'em landed, if he spammed however, one will land and one will miss for sure). Situation #2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrDhQXlcVPg&feature=related (youtube) (Brandish has the same speed as Blast, at 0:35 ~ 0:38 notice how he landed 3 hits, then missed the 4th one. The same thing will happen alot in the rest of the video, so watch all of it). Situation #3: The same video as above, notice how he was getting hit by BF touch damage at 2:15 ~ 2:26. This is what happens when you stand in the right place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2esHPbROCY&feature=related (youtube) About Brandish being more accurate than Blast, they are apparently the same, but I will try to hunt a few BFs on a Hero soon to confirm this. Note that I was talking about RKs here, so with CSs you 're supposed to land the same or probably less hits than I mentioned. Of course without lvl 20+ Stance, you would not be able to stand in the " spot " spamming Blast for too long without getting KBed. I have lvl 15 Stance, and I can tell how annoying it gets sometimes when Stance keeps failing, it happened to me today and guess what ? I was being stalked by someone from basil at that time. ;( OT: Using ACB for BF is just a waste of time (especially for 1H users), either use Blast or don't bother BFing at all. HH is a waste of time too, it needs about 3~5 secs to cast, not to mention that it's impossible to keep BF pinned while using HH, which will lead to losing control of BF = much less DPM. The only situation when you 're advised to use HH, is when you 're COMPLETELY surrounded by Elder Wraiths while BFing, because even with 2H weapons, it 's hard to ACB 'em all while keeping the BF pinned/staying alive, especially if BF 2HKO's you.
