TRUE BANDIT GUIDE This guide emphasizes what a bandit really is. A loner that gets exactly what he wants without any stepping stones. Autonomous and loaded. This build might freak most of you out, because it doesn't allow you to instantly max certain attacks and race to the red light (level 200). But to some of you, it will make perfect sense and you will wonder why you never realized it before. You still train just as fast as everyone else, especially if you pq. And you can still participate in boss fights, oh H-yeah! How often do you see Shadowers trainin or fightin bosses with ME/PP anyway? This build emphasizes survival, hoarding, utility, autonomy and confidence--Bandits aren't just attackers. And the most important skill which defines your class as thief, and your job tree--STEAL! Forget sins, i'm not sure how they're considered thieves? Because they steal your kills? Shadowers redefine 'sins' as well with their ACTUAL skill, ASSASSINATE. yohohohohownage. [0]_______ CONTENTS~ [0]...You are here (X) [1]...Gettin' Real with Steal [2]...And the classic clash, Luck VS. Strength-- [3]...TRUE BANDIT SKILLS [4]...As a Rogue [5]...As a Bandit [6]...deal with it! [7]...STAY STRONG! [8]...As a Chief Bandit [9]...As a Shadower [10]..Timeless/Reverse Set (read before 4th job skill build!) [11]..The big picture--are you ready for this? [12]..Mac(p)ros [13]..Maker Skill [14].."You have gained item (Piece of Time)" [1] Gettin' Real with Steal Let's get real. Everyone seems to hate Steal. Why? The short answer is it doesn't get them Steelys everytime they use it, and it doesn't earn them EXP faster than their other skills. It's not used for training, and if anyone would take the time to rework their build to actually put points and even max this essential skill, they would eat their words. LVL30, 40% chance to steal one item from an enemies droplist, dealing 100% damage. There isn't a downside to this skill [it does what it says], so let's look at the pros: -earn 1.5 times more mesos with steal! you are able to earn mesos twice -collect etc. drops FAST for quests! -yes, you can steal any item from any enemy (except real bosses. it works on fake bosses liket those giant cakes and sox) meaning potions, bullets, scrolls, quest specific items, maker items such as powders and ores, everything! -finish pq's FAST. not only is ludibrium maze pq one of the fastest places to level, it's also an excellent example of Steal OWNING a pq. monsters drop three items there. 1)nothing 2)mana elixir 3)1/50 ticket/s. so if you steal a potion instead of a ticket, you have a 50% chance to get one. huh, that sounds like DOUBLE DROP FO FREEEE. -earn enemy trophies to temper monster crystals mondo fast! the more items you can make/collect DIY, the more money you can save/make! for your health! -finish fetch quests much much faster (aka faster exp, dummy!) it bears repeating -steal actually increases the chance of you getting an equip. here's how~! ~you steal an item (not mesos) fro

This guide got bashed once and will get bashed a second time. Since it's now time for me to go to sleep, I will write and post a review either within 11 hours or after 32 hours.

you're so rude, mejust. please, go away. everything in my guide is fact, and all opinions are obviously, explicitly opinions. my opinons that are in for fun, because this is a game, and about fun, there is no blurring of fact an opinion and this 100% a completely legit guide. once you realize that, you then need to understand that it's a guide, and your choice to follow it. there is nothing you need to say. i've omitted a lot and added a lot more material. i'll super-fine tune it later. how rude to bash a thread before you even read it! i hope you take an objective look this time instead of twist all of my words and make up my arguments for me, you definitely need to sleep those bad habits off.

you're still with the max steal and shield mastery thing? do you really want to relive that day?
shagreenheart 08/07/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
yep. i'm not sure why that's a problem if you read the guide.

MeJust is rude for stating his opinion? Well I guess this guide is pretty rude too, you're stating a lot of opinions in it. xD Well, just stated my opinion, guess I'm rude too. xD Edit: And you do know what it takes to forge and Lvl Up Timeless equips, yeah? xD Edit2: Oh, and didn't you get enough posts on how Taunt doesn't affect bosses on your last post of this guide? xD
lostguy 08/07/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
the problem is with the title. just like last time. you're passing it as the title suggests, THE true bandit guide. when that build is a personal build cause it's a build based on your own opinion. and not meant for other people besides your own cause it's based on your own opinion. i mean i can go and max lucky7 and keep keen eyes at lvl 0 and then not max sb and call it "true bandit guide" and say all positive that i think are positive even though to the majority would seem awful.

reverse equips are vastly easier to make, and it doesn't take any time to level them (or timeless weapons). ask anyone who has already. taunt does work on bosses, go watch it on youtube, and it does increase their exp, drops, and mesos. i don't care what you think about the guide, give me your worst shot. my problem with mejust is that it's his mission that this thread fails because he thinks i'm trying to 'convert' people to play poorly. and if they do, that's not my fault because they didn't do their homework. i state plainly about the build compromise involving haste andbooster, but that's not a problem because you max them later. this guide has every right to be here, it's totally legitamite and valid and won't be denied because you guys don't like it or are afraid of it or whatever reason you don't get it. i've already got mail about what a great guide it is and as far as the title goes, it stays. it just happens to be what i'm calling it because you get to actually act like a bandit: work alone, steal items, worry about yourself, make your own weapons, find all the items you need with taunt. it's great. people play bandits like warriors, hence the title. why would a bandit blow money up haha? -yeah, and look at section [3] and tell me what's so wrong about this guide?

So what Lvl are your Reverse weapons? xD Yeah, I personally have the skill and tested it. No go on bosses. Since the patch ages ago where it was changed to hit 6 targets instead of one, it doesn't affect bosses. xD

well bummer. i'll cross that stuff out until that's changed. everyone write to nexon cause that's lame. it should hit six enemies and affect bosses. it's such a sweet bandit oriented skill, how could they make bosses immune to it? especially stealing from bosses, that affects the battle in no way and only one person can steal from one enemy, it's not as if a party of bandits could c'mon guys, start logging and clogging tickets about that. i was always under the impression it works and that's silly. i mean, priests can BUFF their party to get almost double exp. i'm very happy with the 10-40% increase, but it should really work with bosses, i mean, it also makes bosses stronger.

this guide is fail i have to say i dont like it one bit. 30-36: LVL19 DAGGER MASTERY~ 37-46: MAX SAVAGE BLOW! 47-48: LVL5 HASTE, LVL1 STEAL 49-52: LVL11 DAGGER BOOSTER~, LVL6 HASTE 53-54: LVL11 HASTE~, LVL1 ENDURE 55-61: MAX ENDURE!, LVL3 STEAL 62-70: MAX STEAL!, assaulter 1! get a mount! steal from those tauromacis in your 3rd job fight and dark lord lol. WTH WHY WONT U MAX HASTE JUST WTH ur points about max steal i dont like and i find em just NO Steal is slower then just killing the monster u can kill a ton of monsters and get a lot more money then stealing i mean just think about it steal is the 2nd most useless skill to me in the game bc its just useless theres no point when u can just kill the monster faster. also its replaced by Taunt. 99-107: Chakra MAX, Shield Mastery L2 (MP-27, Recover 200%, 112% if hit) 108-113: Shield Mastery MAX (Defensive power +100% or doubled with shield equipped) 114-119: Dagger Booster MAX, Haste MAX (HP-10,MP-10, boosts dagger speed for 200 sec. MP-30, Speed +40, Jump +20 for 200 sec.) shield mastery is the single most useless skill in the game WHY THE HELL WOULD U MAX IT FOR LIKE 5-10DAMAGE OFF WHEN UR TAKING 800+ EASILY(at that lvl just goes up and up) ME is just an insane skill and (i find it) still useful in 4th job booming the extra money that drops(im not talking bout pp and pp is a way better money maker than steal by far About ur shadower build all i have to say is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FAILLL WTH IS THAT! btw the damage cap is 199,999 so thats 799,996 with assassinate F3 also for a guide it should at least be somewhat interesting its just so dry and annoying to read to me F3 Edit: theres ur review mejust would ya like to add something Too whoever said that bad thing about mejust i agree with u but he does have some good points sometimes lol

Thanks for the guide! I'm happy to actually find one, without mods deleting threads >.<
shagreenheart 08/08/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
axel, sorry you don't dig the guide. but by your bashing of steal and chakra you obviously didn't read the guide and or grasped it's holistic strengths. i mean, i explained why i'm not putting points in me/pp. and yah i need to change assassinate's damage total. i'm sorry you thought it was boring, i had fun writing it. you should know i'm coming from the cookie cutter builds first. i was into them. then i just realized how lame they were. and thanks xxaxnd1txx, glad you dig the guide!
Honoramongshad 08/08/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
Sorry that your guide is trash, but it is. You have no idea what it means to be a bandit let alone a shadower. Rogue: irrelevant Bandit: Speed Chief bandit: Defense Shadower: Mob+avoid Steal and endure are useless and shouldnt even be used in training. Not maxing haste and dagger booster will further kill your experience rate. Stealing at monsters like MP3 will not make you money, you're better off putting every cent you have into leveling then using taunt (100% replaces steal) at skelegons. At least you make money, or wolf spiders. The fact is the bosses/monsters you'd be training at before 11x will not make the money that would make up the difference in exp loss. Also taunt raises defense so its silly to get it any sooner than having BS to a 3-4 hit mob skill. Not having meso explosion? That's one of our best combo moves. Drop bags while bsing and sbing, a lot of damage my friend. Level 120 only gives you 3 skill points and not six. Your guide is unethical with no experience and with to high standards with skills that are underrated and ignored to begin with. Get over it and good luck with this build, unless you leech you'll be stuck at level 80.
shagreenheart Aug 08 2009 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
first, the fact that you sum up bandit classes with 1-2 words, one being irrelevant, as if it doesn't mean anything, means you're as lost as you think i am. second, you don't use steal to train with. and you don't USE endure, it's passive. third, you do max haste and booster 4th, the combo of steal and taunt makes drops even better if you're hunting them. that's different than training. 5th, you use taunt as a finisher so you don't have to worry about the defense boost. did you even read the guide? thre is a trick to getting more sp at 120, and it shouldn't take intelligent thieves very long ot pull it off. and trust me i'm not hung up on everyons burns, this is my guide, and i'm stickin' to it. everyone reads it and gets stuck in certain places as if the guide stops there or as if certain decisions i make are unintentional or just dumb. it's all very planned out and i know none of you read it because you pick out the single points. read all the skiills that are maxed in section three and tell me how different we are except for gameplay? i want to be able to enjoy tis character at level 200, and enjoy getting there. not by grinding and pumping attacks that i really don't want just to level. the only difference is me/pp! who cares! it's a sweet skill but i don't want it, i want max steal/mastery/chakra/booster/shield mastery/endure instead, so that's what i got. and it works very well because with max chakra you become your own cleric once you max fake!
