I know a policy which can please both groups. Allow gay civil union (not sacred marriage, but the legal equivalent). Allow adoption too if you want, but don't allow artificial insemination. Also, make being gay socially acceptable, and encourage gays to get married. This way, homosexuality supporters are happy. But, if homosexuality is genetic, doing this will drastically cut down on the number of homosexuals in future generations (because they won't be reproducing like they have in past generations when they were forced to lead straight lives) so therefore people against homosexuality are happy too. Homosexuals and supporters get what they want, and eventually so do people who are against it. Everybody wins! discuss, no flames. edit: they could adopt kids, and raise them, just they won't have kids of their own. And, this all leans on homosexuality being genetic, which is as of now just a theory.

We don't know what causes the homosexual mindset in people. Science thinks that perhaps an exposure to excessive amounts of estrogen or some hormone may increase the chances of it. People will always argue over things like this. It's human nature.

Damn son, you stupid! Nah I'm jk. Still that's not the greatest of plans. Just let gay people get married. Let them all butt fudge each other and live in peace. If I had all the money in the world, i'd buy all the gay people of the world and get a huge farm. Being gay isn't hereditary. I figured the whole thing with straight couples having gay children for years upon years might strengthen that whole idea. Anywho, that would be horrible. I want kids just as much, if not more than marriage. :I

See, that's saying "You can be gay but you can't have children through artificial insemination." While we're doing this, from now on all religions are allowed to believe what they believe but they aren't allowed to worship. That's pretty much the same thing.

I wouldn't mind the 'socially accept' part of it, but the rest kind of fluttered through my 5-hours-of-sleep mind. But wait. Now that I read it more clearly, you want to have homosexuality accepted so they can get married, and by that sense not have children (since you believe it to be hereditary), and in that sense decrease the population. So by accepting them, you want to get rid of them? -goes back to read more clearly-

I am all for homosexuals getting rights equal to that of straight people. I am also for allowing them to have children. What I do not agree with is the concept of marriage for gays. My religion (Hinduism) talks about homosexual relationships being ok (in some cases), but it says that marriage can be only between a man and woman. This is where I stand.

They should invent a new word for homosexual ''marriage'' then. Which gives them the same status as a married couple but you don't call it marriage. Everyone's happy.
