Kso. I love music. Flat out - BAM. Loveit. xD Acoustic, metal, death metal, rock, country, blah. Love. Anyways, I can write decently, sing.. decently... BUT I CAN'T PLAY ANYTHING and it frustrates me beyond belief. Generally, a solo project would consist of piano or guitar with singing. Just to write my own little songs and play them while singing along, y'know. But I've tried ridiculously and I just can't get the hang of it. Anyone else musically challenged? xD Or who here actually can play? (And what? :o) :D

I play the flute, and I'm somewhat decent, considering I'm a music major.... But as of late, I haven't felt anything while I play..... it's very disheartening.....

I have the opposite problem - I can play the viola as well as piano and guitar (to some degree). I just can't sing D:

If you mean, not being able to pinpoint specific notes in a chord, then yeah. When somebody plays a bunch of notes at the same time and tells me to pinpoint the third note, I'll be like "wut?".

Same problem. I think I'm a good singer, though I don't want to sing in front of peoplez me dunno. But i can't play an instrument. Not enough motives, time, and inspiration in my life to make me pick up an instrument. I should of picked one up earlier, and I regret it now. I want to learn to play the guitar and piano because pianos can play a lot of songs and I've always liked guitars =)

i play the guitar and drums. @ skool me and my friends wud jam out making random beats and solos @ home me and my uncles rock out. i play drums, one uncle plays guitar, and the other sings. its quite fun actually. i cant sing T-T my voice is flat. its literally lik ------------------------------------------------ that. no tone at all D: but i still sing :D practice and confidence :D i lik metal. rock. anything with a guitar and an awesome drum beat. i strongly dislike rap. it makes me wanna punch something ._.

I heard that when you sing, it creates vibrations in your skull, which makes it sound differently to you. Your actual voice isn't the same as how it sounds to yourself. Try singing into a microphone and playing it back, it'll probably sound way different. Just a tip to the people who think they can sing well, it might just be in their heads (literally). Ontopic: I suck at music in general...

Ontopic: I suck at music in general..." its true about hearing urself. wen i listen to myself in a video i always ALWAYS say "holy crap is that really me? o-o" hav u ever hummed some random thing out? if so. u dont suck at music cause u can make a beat.
