If you have more SP in Recoil Shot, does it push you back farther?

Push back distance increases at a certain interval. Every 4 levels I believe. I quit so i cant remember. theres a guide with info on it.

the distance increases at lv 5, 9, 13, and 17, basically every 4 levels, like the other guy said.
