Okay, this is really making me angry. People, stop posting threads about getting hacked in the FM, or hearing about it. IT'S NOT POSSIBLE. Have you ever heard of a pity-date? Well, this whole scheme is based off that sort of situation. People see a smega, they feel sympathy, they give; lather, rinse and repeat. An FM hack is NOT possible.

Please, post some reasonable proof. I know for a fact that 2 friends of mine were hacked. It's not anything like a "pity date".

It is possible. However, people able to hack at such a level won't be found playing Maplestory, or any other MMORPG.

Hacked becuase they were D/Ced and after thye log everything gone? Or key logged? At above, it's possible if some worker at nexon didn't get a raise.

I doubt anyone can brute force into Nexon's database. Not to mention there is an encryption on the databases. If someone seriously is that obsessed with MapleStory that they are willing to face a multi-million dollar lawsuit, than they have problems.

I prefer pity parties to pity dates . Anywho, PuppyKevin already explained why it is impossible for this hack to happen. I lack the URL to said thread, but perhaps a kind Basiler could link to it.

I'm not exactly sure how MSea`s database got accessed. It was probably a dictionary attack of some sort.
