What's wrong with this avatar?

A while ago, I submitted this (photobucket) avatar. Well, it got rejected. I spent a long time editing it so that it looks clean. I didn't really get a reason for his rejection either. This (photobucket) avatar is a good example of my point. Why was this accepted and not mine? How about this (photobucket) one? All he did was darken each hair so that you couldn't notice that he didn't edit anything really. This avatar (photobucket)'s hair isn't even the same shade. It got accepted, but mine didn't. If the reason is distraction, then what about this (photobucket) or this (photobucket)? The first one is just 3 different hairstyles stacked on each other. Not even blended. The second one doesn't even have a face. In conclusion, I want to know the reason that my avatar wasn't accepted. If it's because of the edited colours, thats bullcrap because Rachelity always has bright hair that changes shades. I've also seen someone on this site with rainbow coloured hair. Note: I am not trying to insult the owners of these avatars, nor their avatars themselves. I'm just trying to make a point, and I'm curious as to why mine wasn't accepted. Thank you.

I had tons of better avatars that were rejected and i didnt even edit them.

The hair colour shouldn't be a problem at all.. Most (if not all) of Rachelity's avatars changed tone from top-bottom. Some girl even had an avatar with rainbow-toned hair before. Mine shouldn't be a problem. And I didn't mean my avatar was necessarily (sp?) dark. I meant it wasn't extremely bright like some other avatars which got accepted.
