Well my Wind Archer (who's skills I messed up on) is STRless and it seems to be making a noticeable difference compared to other WA's of my level.

I made a strless Wind Archer. So far, its noticeable. Imo, just convert at like lvl 60s, since u have the extra ap if ure gonna convert.
