I'm 13, and turning 14 in December. I currently have a 4pack and thinking of going for the 6pack. But the thing is today my sister told me that you shouldn't lift weights till you turn 18 because thats when you should be done growing. Working out now might stun my growth, so idk what to do. I'm like 5'2'-5'4'. I consider myself pretty short. So should I continue working out, or just wait awhile because fractured bones stuns your growth. What about you guys?

That's not always true. Like godswarning says, just don't overstress yourself, and work at your own pace. Every bit counts in working out, even 5 push-ups daily add up. However my brother worked out when he was 13, got a 6 pack at that age, and when he was 15, he was 5 ft 9 or so.

K. Dudes stop growing at age 25 (spurts and whatnot stop at around 18ish) Don't work out (like muscle building, etc.) Just keep in shape. Oh and BTW, is that 4 pack clearly defined?

Working out doesn't stunt growth, but injuries and heavy weights that strains your body alot ( example your 100 pounds and your trying to squat 250 pounds or your 100 pounds trying to bench 200 pounds ) wouldn't be very "healthy" lol - I am 17 years old who use to do some weight training and was a boxer and now i work as a mover in a company (movers who moves furniture and things like piano to different locations everyday)

Hey I've been lifting since like 5th grade, I just grew 6 inches last summer. I'm pretty sure you cant stunt your growth

When I work out, sometimes I go overboard and the next day I feel my abs aching and arms.

Wieghtlifting does not stunt growth. FOr a 6 pack do cardio work outs more. Running long distances burns off fat which exposes muscles. Also swim laps if u have a swimming pool. For swimming you use all the muscles in your body. I suggest you join a sport. Waterpolo or swimming would be good if u Want to work on your wholebody. These sports are really tough though. I know from personal experience.

I am 15 and I have a clearly defined 6 pack. If I flex enough you can see the two at the top to make the 8 pack.
