| I must say go with bowman, because crossbowman get a pretty bad 4th job in comparison to bowman, particularly at bossing. |

I strongly suggest making a BM, if you're in it for the long run. While damage comparison may be disputable (Snipe vs. Hurricane and whatnot), the BM's ability to pin can never be matched by Marksmen, even with SI. However, if you think you'll only make it to 3rd job, Sniper's are probably more enjoyable. |

Marksman ARE just as equivalent to Bowmasters in terms of Bossing to Training. What does the 'ability' to pin down have to do ANYTHING with training? The only reason you find it so worthless is because you're ignorant enough to not understand the difference between the two. |

| Crossbow men. Once at lv. 64 (nishada) they're just as enjoyable as speedy rangers, but more damage, though that just maybe my opinion since I have an end game Nishada .-. |

However, accusing someone to be ignorant without cause is ignorance in itself. You claim they're equivalent in bossing and training, but I have to disagree. Hurricane is just too powerful, compared to Strafe and Snipe (which is merely a static damage boost that falls short of Hurricane at higher levels). As for pinning, that quality puts Marksmen useless at at least 5 major bosses and probably more to come. Finally, I do happen to know the difference between the two, because I've played both of them with adept familiarity. |

I suggest the TS making a BM. |

Mainly the reason why BMs are too. They both dish out decent damage, lets leave it at that. |

I do not see Bowmasters train at a faster speed than Marksman. And you seem to ignore Pierce is a great mob like ability that allows us to constantly move AND damage at the same time, as Hurricane is a stop and go skill. Marksman are also not that of a bosser, I agree its not in the ranks of Bowmasters, but we are still better than most classes. Although, that does not necessarily mean the same for Bowmasters when it comes to training. And the fact you mention you are biased shows that you obviously will have poor judgement comparing these two classes. @Scavenger90: It's your taste of gaming and class. Not every class you play will be the one you enjoy. :P |

Damage-wise, they're just about the same for bosses, but BM get the advantage on mobile bosses since they have the ability to pin. If you don't think the ability to pin is worth anything go take on the big boss, or try to KS a BM at angeo. The ability to pin isn't always necessary, but it's incredibly useful, certainly enough to give BMs the advantage in that area. In her response above, she is wrong though. We may not be able to effectively pin, we're certainly NOT useless at 5 mobile bosses. Almost any boss a BM can take on, a MM can take on. It may not look as easy or simplistic, but we're anything but useless. BF, angeo, whoever else she was referring to. The only ones we might have trouble with are the big boss guy and crow. Not saying we can't do those, I'm saying I honestly don't know. Also, Strafe and Snipe is not as weak as she's making it sound, and does overpower hurricane in the mid-4th job levels. |

So it was me (maxed Piercing Arrow) vs. my friend (maxed Hurricane). In the end, our kill count was just a difference of 12... In her favor. So even our mobbing capability isn't special, especially when compared the REAL mobbers, the ultimates. I have to say my MM was my very first main to make it to 4th job, and for a long time I wouldn't admit BM were better than. But when I joined my friend's GB run as a replacement for their BM and died. I just quit my MM forever. |
