How can people have "Summer Homework"?

I have never ever had summer homework. How do you even turn that in? You get new teachers the next year.

Then there's honors classes which is probably what you calll extension which are just a bit harder than normal. Finally there's AP classes in which you prepare for an AP test at the end of the year that can count as college credit if you can pass it.

I have AP world history. I never really cared enough to get the homework, but you're supposed to go to a teacher that hands out the homework. It was really retarded, and I didn't feel like going.

Well my school has a basic honors and AP of every class honors is just a harder version of the basic but AP is COMPLETELY different it's way harder and usually only for juniors and seniors.

AP is more difficult, it's like taking a college class in high school basically.
