ONE MORE QUESTION, AT THE BOTTOM, KINDOF IMPORTANT yea...basil keeps deleteing my threads before i can sit down and take a good look at all the computers u guys help me figure out that's right for me =/ ' the dream laptop im looking for (in order): -a comp with 3~4 years life -a comp that can handle LOTS AND LOTS of webpages/tabs being open lol...idk, i just do it alot :3 -comp that can handle gaming of most any type, so if i decide to pick up gaming in college, i can - good/ok battery life so i dont need rechargeing -generally versitile laptop lol idk if that asking much lol....it just needs to be under $1000, preferably below 900. if theres anything else i might need on my computer as a college student, it would be nice if u could help me figure that out too. LAST EDIT I HOPE: lol last question if u care to answer: are asus laptops compatable to hp printers? please say yes lol..

The G50 should be good enough, but the CPU isn't OMGAWESOME.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9366651&type=product&id=1218092150636 this seems like a winner, but my mom would never like the price tag D: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9398396&type=product&id=1218099255649 this one seems like an alternet winner, but can anyone tell me the cons of this? i shudda posted sooner, all the people helping me probably went to bed =/ and can anyone explain CPU vs GPU (saw in another thread)? edit: and the "G50" you both are talking about is the one that only costs 850something, right? x3 yes, that one sounds very nice too...ill look on the web, but can someone give me an overview of what the "G50" and the hp pavillion laptops are like?

For maple story, you don't need that. A regular notebook can handle all the graphic, memory, harddrive space. I suggest though, get an Intel Processor over AMD. 4GB ram, 120-320gb hd, any graphic card is find for current laptop. I'm getting a new dell netbook soon, so I'll let you know if I can run it. I think it probably would. For college, word processing, internet surfing, and ms is all you need. I suggest you should save the money.

is tigerdirect a trustable buying source? edit: and is asus a good brand? my mom is questioning it cuz she never heard of it...
azn011 07/26/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
azn011Tigerdirect is a highly trusted source for buying computer hardware. By all means; use it. It has great prices. But however...you have to buy online using your credit card. There are a few retail stores, but those don't tend to be very common and they have slightly higher prices.

can you use a debit card? or just credit...sorry, i dont understand credit/debit rules either xP edit: lol last question if u care to answer: are asus laptops compatable to hp printers? please say yes lol..
