Im interested in buying a zhelm from social tears. I was confronted at windraiders buy a guy named xxdakota007, (lvl 130 BM) who trained with me for a bit then offered to sell me a zhelm for 20m. He seemed quite friendly, but then again, im sure scammers are friendly at first. So is socialtears trustworthy, or is he scamming me, ORRRRR are they trustworthy, just not him. I mean no offence to the guild or dakota007, i just dont wanna be scammed Ty

I don't know how trustworthy their zhelm selling service is, but I've been playing for several years in Khaini and I've never had any trouble with SocialTears members, they always seem like reasonable/intelligent/literate/kind people, which might say something about their recruiting practices and general membership. But as xLordAsasin pointed out, its always safest to use SleepyWoods safe sellers list.

Couldn't tell you, don't know him personally/don't think I've even ever seen him x] But you seem rational enough, make sure you don't deal with third parties unless its via sleepywood. What I mean is don't just hand this guy cash and expect it to happen, make sure you speak with the guild leader/other guild mates to verify the legitimacy for yourself. If it were a complete/always scamming guild they probably would have a horrible rep by now, but that doesn't mean one person wouldn't try a scam.

He trains with you, acts like your friend, then randomly offers to sell you a Z-helm at a low price? Sounds fishy to me.

Do NOT buy from Dakota, I ran with him on my Dark Knight, he had a bunch of nib level 10x-11x, besides me (168 DrK) and a 141 NL. The only reason I came was because I was given an apple and asked nicely to come. Everyone died except me, 3 bishops, a BM, and a Night Lord. His crap is fail, I can organize a zakum run better in 30 minutes than the 4 hours he spent to get his together. However, Musmudy is the one to talk to if you want to buy a SocialTears zakum helm. She is one of the 4-5 people in that guild you can trust with meso. Edit: @ above guy who said they were literate and intelligent...idk who you talked you, musmudy and hanzo714 are the only ones that are literate or friendly, besides a select few that I haven't interacted with...the rest are commonly known for their ignorance, inability to converse in depth, scams, ex-hacking, whatever you can find in Maple, you can find in the guildies. Mussy is awesome though.
