Alright, I am getting very frustrated right now, but I will attempt to start from the begginning of my problems that maplestory is giving me. Ever since I downloaded maplestory on my labtop, it has been doing well, without a single problem. However, about 5 patches or so, I downloaded the patch. At this point, maplestory stopped opening up from the shortcut. A window would pop up and say that it failed to install. When I click out of the window, everything that was loadedgoes from 100% back down to 0%, in very little time. At this point, a window appear and it says error. Ever since that time, I had to open maplestory by using this method: My Computer/ LocalNexon/maplestory. It worked. However, maplestory has been slowed down in loading all the time. Moving from map to map, lagging, disconnecting, bosses, etc. I got tired, and reinstalled Maplestory. But, I had to uninstall it first. I got to the control panel to uninstall, then I reinstall at the home website of nexon. and getting the new client and trying to do it again. Well, the Client worked, but when maplestory program would try and attempt to turn on on this computer, a window comes up saying: Error, 1711. An Error occured when writing installation information to disk. Check to make sure enough disk space is available, then click retry or click cancel. I restart the computer to get rid of some files. I get rid of the files that take up a good amount of space, and I retry. The same thing happened. I restart my computer, the same thing happened. I go back to the website and try and get the client quote from the website and install it. The same thing happens. I am here now, out of ideas. Can someone please help? My last resort will be to put all my important files on my Flash Drive, and committing a Factory Reset. I'm sorry this is lengthy. ** Also To be more specific the v.66 MSSetup/ v.72 MSSetup/ MSDownloader .72/ MSdownloader.66 All dont work Ive tried Each of them about 2 times maybe 3. Thank you Darkness, I knew WHAT TO edit but I didnt know HOW TO do it from basil.

Could you please use some proper grammar, and try to be as clear as possible? Maybe re-edit and type them in paragraphs. I don't think people would like to read that, that includes me. Btw, don't blame Maplestory for your problems. There are several factors: computer specs, internet bandwidth, and current open processes. Since the shortcut doesnt work... Go to Maplestory folder>Right click Maplestory.exe>Create Shortcut>Drag to wherever you have your Existing Shortcut. If that works, that's one problem solved. Next, try a system virus scan. Restart computer, test Maplestory. If that doesn't help, System restore to the date that you uninstalled Maplestory and re-downloaded Maplestory via Maplestory Downloader.

I'm getting very frustrated right now, but I will attempt to start from the beginning of my problems. I'm having with Maplestory ever since I downloaded Maplestory on this laptop of mine. It has been reliable and I have had no problems what so ever. About 5 Patches ago however, I download the patch that needed to be done so I can play the game. MapleStory stopped opening up from the Shortcut and a dialog box would say that it failed to install. Closing the dialog box would stop the patching process. Since then I've had to open Maple Story up by going to the Maplestory folder. I recently found out that my Maplestory overall has decreased in speed (Lags, D/C). So I finally got tired of this and decided to reinstall MS completely, but first I'd have to uninstall it. I go to Control Panel and uninstall it, then I try to reinstall by going to the Home Website of NEXON and getting the new client and trying to do it over again. Opening the install worked, but would give an error: "Error 1711. An Error Occurred when writing installation information to disk, Check to make sure enough disk space is available, click RETRY or click Cancel to end installation." I decided to restart the computer and get rid of some files. I wipe out some of the files that take up a mass of space on my computer and retry, but the same thing happens. I go back to the website and try getting the client quote from the website " The old Fashion way" and Install it and still had an error. So now here I am, out of Ideas. Can someone please help me? My Last resort will be to put all my Important files on my Flash Drive and reformatting my computer. Then downloading Maplestory and put my stuff back onto it. So I'm sorry this is rather Lengthy but as anyone can see, I'm quite desperate.

Wipe all of your maple folders off of your computers so it is as it it never existed (other than pictures or watever.) After everything is gone re-download the game. Something from one of the other patches could have corrupted the files and may be messing you up. If this still doesn't work the problem is with your computer, put anything you need on a hard drive, wipe your whole computer and start from scratch. It would be easier if you had a professional do this for you.

I helped you shorten it with more usage of grammar and less uses of periods.

Start> Search up "System Restore" Look through the dates to see if you recognize any, then click it once, press next, and confirm System Restoring to the specified date. |
