Are PoleArm DKs / Hybrid DKs still looked down upon?

I remember some time ago, mind you I've taken a long time away from any Warrior-based sections, that PoleArm DKs and Hybrid DKs were THE thing to make fun of. That was probably awhile ago, but is it still going on now? Are they as good as their counterpart, the Spear?

Hybrid have been the dominant class of DK for some time now - they're more versatile considering they use the two strongest moves of a DK. On the other hand Pure PA are rare, mainly because they are not as good versus a single target. But you could say the same for pure spear as well.

Hybrids were never looked down on. Pure Polearm was almost always (and still is) look down on, and Pure Spear recently (not recently, more like when 4th job came out) joined on being looked down on. Both are looked down on for good reasons, Pure Polearm having the possible worst 1 on 1 out of any class, and Pure Spear training notably slower than Pure Polearm/Hybrid until around the 4th job.

Some people in maple are less imformed. I once asked another spearman what build he was going. He said pure spear, and PAs suck. I said I was going hybrid and he didnt know what that was >.>

Wait what? Lol pure PAs have always ellicited a reaction such as.... "Lulz n00b." Which I find is a foolish, but true & blunt way to put it. Hybrids rox. Pure spear rox in 4th job, but their training is slower than hybrids from 1st-3rd job.
