This has been moved from the General Maple Story section, to the correct Pirate Section. I was thinking about this last night, and i realized, there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO POINT in being Str-Less OR Low-Str (By low Str, i mean 40 or lower) Let me explain. The lv 100 Gun (The most commonly used gun) requires 100 Str, correct? And by that lv, all Outlaws SHOULD have a Zak Helm and a MoN (+20 Str) and a Cape with + 10str So that means, they require an extra 70 Str to equipt the lv 100 gun. But lets think about this for a second.. What is the difference between Str Equipts and Dex ones? You can buy a 20 Str overall for the price of a 25+Dex overall. The same idea goes with buying a Str Cape. So logically, all gun-users should have 70 Base Str by 100. * See Final End Notes* But then some people complain saying: Well what if i Chaos Scroll my ZHelm, and use a HT pendant? Well, lets think about that as well. An EXCELLENTLY Chaosed ZHelm will have about 30 Str, and the current max (for at least a few months) on the HT necklace is 22 Str. So they will then get about +50 Str from their equipts MAX. So therefore, if they plan on using a HT necklace (which is stupid, MoN > HT even when it is fully scrolled) and spending millions and millions to add an extra 15 Str to their ZHelm, they end up needing a MAX of 60 Base Dex. Now, for some reason if on another account you happen to own a, lets say, +50 Str sauna, then thats great, cap your Str at 40 ( +20 from ZHelm/MoN + 40 +50 = 110), but unless that is the case, i would STRONGLY RECOMMEND ALL Gunslingers/Outlaws/Corsairs to cap their Str at AT LEAST 60 or 70 *See Final End Notes* My point in all this is that the people who cap their Str in the 50's or lower are just wasting mesos. ** Final End Notes ** Ok, so after reviewing my own points, and everyone elses, i have come up with 3 Possible options for Capping Str and Str Equipts: * It is assumed that all will have 20 Str from Mon/Zhelm. 1st Build: The Str overall This build requires a 20Str overall, combined with 20Str From MonZhelm, makes 40. Depending on weither or not you want a Str or Dex cape, you will have a base of 60 (Dex cape) or 50 (Str cape with possible other items, such as medal or goggles). This build is my least personal favourite because it requires a Str OA, and unless you already have one, its cheaper to get a Dex one. ~20 Str overall = 200-300mil depending 2nd Build: The Dex Overall Build With this build, you are required to have around 70 Base Str. You gain 30 Str From Mon/Zhelm and a 10Str Cape (Less if you have Medal/Goggles). This WAS my personal preference, because you can continue to upgrade your Dex overall, whithout actually needing a set amount of Dex. This build is also good from about 1-80 if your not using Maple Cannon Shooter (which requires 0 Str). But now, im actually leaning towards the 3rd option ~20 Dex overall = 150-250mil again, depending on what server and your search luck. 3rd Build: Top and Bottom. This build hadn't even c

Low STR: Zhelm - 15 MoN - 5 STR PAC - 8-10 (Cheaper than DEX) So minus the cap by 8-10, depending on your PAC.

Ok, Taru Spirit cape removed. And is a Str Pac cheaper than a Dex one? Well i still have room for that then.. 80 Base + 15 from Zhem +5 from mon +10 from cape = 110 Str, which is perfect. i know for a fact that all Dex overalls are MUCH cheaper than Str ones, so i guess its only the cape that should be str.

A reason to go lowstr is MAPLE WARRIOR which only applies to base stats so if you get str equips instead of dex you can add extra dex to your base which gets even higher with maple warrior.

Ok, lets say you have a +20 Str overall and then 20 less base Str, making base dex +20. That means you get +2 Dex from maple Warrior... You can buy a +25 Dex sauna for the price of a +20 Str Sauna, which gives you a +5 dex boost. Last time i checked, +5 > +2

Maple Warrior. It works for base stats only. So the lower the base str u have the more MW affects your dex EDIT: MelangeI beat me :p

There aren't alot of good/godly Dragon Revolvers. Most Outlaw's/Corsair's use Concerto's, so u don't need 110 Str.

Ok, then you need 100 Str, still, that means you should cap it at 70 At the lowest get +20 from Zak & MoN, then the rest from a cape And to the poster above, why would you cap at anything lower than 65?

how much are 25 dex overalls? and were you talking about sauna/bathrobes or pirate overalls?
