| Hello and Thank You for opening this guide on the Third Job Gunslinger which we know as "The Outlaw"! Outlaws have one of the best DPM during Third Job. They have extreme versatility being able to freeze, burn, stun, and summon, not only that but Outlaws get to use a Flash Jump like skill for evasion of physical attacks and some magic attacks. The Gunslinger was heavily looked down on, and because of that, many still do not realize the power of an Outlaw (Or Corsair). Being able to hit 630% per attack is nothing to laugh at. The reason for this guide? There are many questions and various builds for Outlaws. Though I am aware there are different guides on Sleepywood and one on Basil (By TakeBack3r), the Outlaw section was not explained to the very roots. This left me with many unanswered questions. So after various months while playing the class, I have answered the questions as my job progressed. Well ENOUGH of this Introduction crap, let's get to the basics! Your Third Job Advancement Congratulations, you have advanced to Level 70. You have passed what is one of the most difficult to train 2nd job classes. Your days with weak damage are history! Once you make the advancement, put your first point into "Burst Fire". Burst Fire is a slower, but much stronger version of Double Shot. Burst Fire is a Passive Skills that overwrites your Double Shot upon adding your first Point. It automatically shoots 3 bullets at Level 1 and hits 115% per bullet. 345% per each attack, not bad for a level 1 skill eh? First off, I guarantee you'll find shooting just one extra bullet to be a lot more interesting then weak old Double Shot. Though you may be tempted to do so, do NOT put points into any other skills! Almost every one of them are useless at Level 1. So, from Level 70 - 77, raise ONLY Burst Fire. As for training spots, your areas stay pretty much the same until you max Burst Fire. You may be able to handle Windraiders a lot easier though. The Split Path Okay, this is the part of Outlaw-dom that gets very complex and mixed. There are currently two Main skill builds. According to Koano of Sleepywood.net , they are the Kentaurus or Jr. Newtie builds. There are also different builds that are somewhat unheard of. Such as the Goby build. Find the Outlaw Skills Here : http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStory-Outlaw-Skills.html The Jr.Newtie Build 70 - 1 Burst Fire 71 - 4 Burst Fire 72 - 7 Burst Fire 73 - 10 Burst Fire 74 - 13 Burst Fire 75 - 16 Burst Fire 76 - 19 Burst Fire 77 - 20 Burst Fire, 2 Octopus 78 - 20 Burst Fire, 5 Octopus 79 - 20 Burst Fire, 8 Octopus 80 - 20 Burst Fire, 11 Octopus 81 - 20 Burst Fire, 14 Octopus 82 - 20 Burst Fire, 17 Octopus 83 - 20 Burst Fire, 20 Octopus 84 - 20 Burst Fire, 21 Octopus, 2 Ice Splitter 85 - 20 Burst Fire, 21 Octopus, 5 Ice Splitter 86 - 20 Burst Fire, 21 Octopus, 8 Ice Splitter 87 - 20 Burst Fire, 21 Octopus, 11 Ice Splitter 88 - 20 Burst Fire, 21 Octopus, 14 Ice Splitter 89 - 20 Burst Fire, 21 Octopus, 17 Ice Splitter 90 - |

You won't believe how many people turned down gunslinger because of the weak damage. When I would go to PQ during CPQ, I was so easily kicked out for my weak damage and being ranged. I always got replaced by Crossbowmen or Bowmen. When I was around 8x, random people would come up and say things like : "I didn't know gunslingers could hit that high, I thought they had sucky damage." Apparently people don't look at third job. Depends what level you were, since i was kicked out of cpq for missing :P |

| God I hated CPQ. F3. Now that I think about it, I never really PQ'd at all, except the occasional CPQ to relieve myself from grinding. |

| The Gobies build is the best...y max gavita? its pointless just get it to lvl 15 so u can use air strike... icesplittler can either be maxed or put to 26...personally i left at 26 and maxed flamethrower last, flamethrower is a very useless skill in my opinion... but its better than maxing gaviota becuase if u choose to use it to train on some fire weak monsters it can be effective go gobies build u wont regret it.... |

| Meh, both Gaviota and Flamethrower are relatively useless at 4th job. Flamethrower is able to used on the ship and it aids Ice Splitter well when used in a macro. |

| Nice Guide, this really clears up the usual questions "Should i max Gaviota?", "Should i max flamethrower or Ice Splitter?". I remember having trouble with these decisions too and this guide will help all those outlaws in this category. Good Job :D |

| Still to go... Training Spots (In Depth), more answered questions. Is there anything else that needs to be answered? I am also putting a Strategy and Macro section. Which will help the reader learn how to control an outlaw well into 4th job. |

| Third job is really easy... I'm going to be honest, and say this isn't really needed, as we have a guide in the gunslinger forum. Second, why did you post a guide that isn't finished..? |

Second, why did you post a guide that isn't finished..?" It's because I see many conflicting arguments on several things, like builds, what skills to max/leave, etc. So I wanted to make a guide that will clear up the questions. And, if you looks at the Outlaw section in our Gunslinger thread, it doesn't go into depth on the third job. Though it is one of the best guides I've read, I just felt that it still left many Outlaws with questions and biases. |
