Hello, everyone. In the past few weeks (and past few months, too), there has been quite a bit of talk about how the Knights of Cygnus are going to throw the whole game out of wack. They get more AP. 1 on 1 classes get versatile mob moves early on (namely, nightwalker and blaze wizard). They're too flashy. And, of course, they get a boost in weapon / magic attack, depending on your main character's level. But what alot of these people forget to mention is that this boost (which I will now refer to as Blessing of the Sprite) is two-sided. In other words, your main character is effected by your KoC's level. If you reach level 20 on a cygnus character, the parent character that is tied to it will receive 2 weapon attack (or 4 magic attack, for those mages out there). This is a highly intelligent move on Nexon's part; now, extra power is available to everyone, funded or not. They've got weaker skills and a lower level cap simply because they're not the main attraction; adventurers are! In the future, people will realize that they are just assets. Instead of spending 400m for that pair of facestompers, you could just train your cygnus 20 levels. The same goes for throwing stars, weapons, and accuracy gear (Blessing of the Sprite adds one point to accuracy and avoid, as well). The Cygnus Knights will cause a ripple in the lower level PQs, for sure, but that will only last until the hype dies down (it was the same way with pirates). In the long run, they will end up leveling the field, and even elevate the abilities of GMS in terms of bossing. Discuss. Too long; didn't read version: Blessing of the Sprite is two-sided. It's going to blur the line between funded and unfunded.

Yeah, mine is something for a bit of fun, but overall, the main usage is to benefit my Marauder/Buccaneer. My goals are always focused more on upgrading equips than leveling, so this works perfectly for me. Being on the same account, I can transfer my equips back and forth as I please.

uhhh. i read the whole thing but after i was done i didnt remember after reading it twice. Does this mean that prices for things will go down?

@ari141 i'm sorry but have you even played KoC on any other version of MS? in MSEA it doesn't work like that. the w/m.att ONLY goes up for both when the PARENT character levels up to a 10th level. lvl 10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100,110,120,130,140,150,160,170,180,190, and 200...... why do you think the skill maxes out at 20? do the math. 200 divided by 10 is what? 20.... the max skill of the level. i dont get why no one understands this. its really not that hard to realize. ive said it like 5 million times and yet theres still people giving false information.

How do you tie the two characters?

There will probably be a bit of inflation within the weapon categories that KoC can wield (namely, swords, bows, claws, wands/staves, and knucklers). I read the following information on a site with KoC skills (the Basil filter forbids it's name) The level of this skill is directly proportional to the level of your highest character aside from this one. The job of the character is irrelevant; if you have a level 120 Cygnus and a level 110 Cygnus, the level 120 will get level 11 Blessing, and the level 110 will get level 12 blessing. This would also be true of a 120 Adventurer and a 110 Cygnus, or of two Adventurers. For every 10 levels of the character, you get one point into the skill. A level 129 Character gives 12 points on the Cygnus, but a 130 Character gives 13 points

The desire to have godly equips will still be around. Expectations will just be higher. Once people get use the the BoS boost, they will want more. The line between funded and unfunded will always be there.

"All you need to do now is create a new character and you get the choice of making one of the original jobs, now called Adventurers. Or you can make a Cygnus. No parents or bonding required now. The blessing is automatically shared between all characters. This video shows the process of becoming a Knight of Cygnus, levelling to 10 and getting your 1st job. Some process and quests aren't included. Also things like me deciding the look of my character are shortened and Ive removed the password and pin screens for obvious reasons. That all being said it should give you a good idea of what's involved. Upon Logging in you are greeted with an in game movie. Your character is placed in the movie. Its hard to tell since I dont have Nx so my character looks rather generic. Then after the movie you are presented with a dialogue box from Nineheart. Clicking ok will transport your character to Ereb. Talking to Shin Su, the holy beast opens up a character creation window in game. You have to be a level 20 plus Adventurer to do this. Here you can name your character and customize its appearance. The only thing you are unable to change is the skin. You are stuck with the pale white skin. This will probably change in other versions. Once the character is created log of and back on again. You will see your newly created character on the character selection screen. Once you level to 10 you get a quest for every job instructor. Chose which one you want and you will advance as that job."

No, it will be a passive +12 w.atk bonus to those who have enough money to throw at Arch Mages to leech their KoC's to 120.
