how do so many players get over 100mil?

So i was looking at the auctions on basil one day and saw that some went up to 2bil. i thought: "how in the world do so many players get that much money and still say that they don't have much?" I mean, the most that my main has was 11mil, and i don't usually spend that much. i see many high level players fund their "younger" players "only" 30mil and 10 attack pacs! where did their money come from? i tried many things, such as quests and pqs and i little bit of gacha (i don't know how to merchant), but i only got like 20mil(split evenly among my players) so how do "high levels" get up to 3bil and such at level 100? oh, and do you know who the richest player in Maplestory is?

yea...i just got the hang of merchanting and i've make some decent money. If u have alt characters like me do quests such as subani's legacy and terminating the dark force.

I don't merchant because I fail at it. So I've only sold my good stuff. Maple Knuckle -1.5m GFA during inflation - 12.5m GFA outside inflation - 6.5m Now I have 21m from selling random drops and just normaly money-gaining methods.

merchanting is how i did it (along with a few q's etc to start me off e.g. 60% glove atks).. started about a month ago now unfunded i now have 200-250m approx at lvl 61 =/ edit: if you fail at it just research stuff.. look around and get familiar with prices (specialize in certain areas maybe) and you should be able to notice when people are selling them for low prices. also look for peoples mistakes (e.g. setting up stores), sometimes they put 999,999 for example instead of 9,999,999
