Would like to know if this is a scam/hack, please. :/

Someone on my BL (whom I dont talk to often) chatted me and told me to give him my ID (just my ID, not my PW or PIN) and to log off for 10 seconds, and I would see a very funny joke. (assuming it would indeed be funny, but not to me. I think he would be the only one laughing.) I didn't give anything to him because it sounded extremely suspicious and I don't believe I would be that stupid to fall for it. So, tell me, is there some sort of new hacking tool that you just need someones ID to be able to hack them with? And was I smart not to fall for it? :/

Apparently, you didn't read the discription... I very clearly said that I did not believe or fall for it. Im only asking if it was a scam or hack. And the reason why I said 'scam/hack' is because it would be both. 1. If I did believe him he would have scammed me out of my account. Scamming is lying and getting something out of it. 2. If i did believe him he would have scammed me from my account, and then hacked me to get the rest of my info. Hacking is using illeagle-to-maple tools to cheat in the game. Therefore, making that a scam/hack. I will now call this creation a 'Sack' or 'Ham'. Wich sounds better? :]

It might be that he was going to try to log in with some random password 5 times, then you wouldn't be able to log in for 10(?) minutes :P At least I think Maple does that o.0

Like an earlier post stated, it was probably a practical joke involving the inability to log in.

to get the password you would need a bruteforce cracker with a notepad full of possible passwords, which unless you have a common one; could take FOREVER. And on top of that nexon blocks people after 5 failed attempts

I know some people who use their names or igns or something they share to the public as their password. So he could be trying that...
