Definitely Visual Basic, and also learn HTML while you're at it. Both are as simple as they get.

Edit: If you decide to take Mudkip's advice, which I believe you should, you may want to download Abyss Webserver. It should be configred to run on port 8080. After that, write an HTML page, place it in the webserver's folder/htdocs, launch the server and type in "http://localhost/(HTML file name)"

When I hear of people like you I get depressed and wish I had worked with programming earlier. I'd also back the learning of Visual Basic, and where I go to college they intro everyone with PLT Scheme, which also is a relatively simple language as well. In terms of object-oriented languages, I'd recommend Java.

Ummm Do small basic for like 1-2 weeks just to get used to coding structure Do it like this Small Basic -> VB8 and PHP and HTML-> Delphi -> Perl & Python .......................................................l C++ -> C# .......................................................l Java -> C++ -> C# Just choose with way you wanna go

Meh I started with Pascal back in the day...but yeah I was like what..maybe 9 years old?...I found it really easy then I did HTML, a bit of Action Script (didn't really like this), did C for years and I'm 18 now and I've been working with Java/C++/C# the last couple of years...so I'd say like Pascal -> Java -> C++ -> C#

start with a high level language, since those are the ones designed for humans to understand easily i agree with those that said visual basic, which is also known as Visual Basic NET 2008. It's really simple to start out with, and since its a GUI it's really fun to use.
