Hi....I have been playing maplestory since around beta, and i've always been a character hopper. :/ Recently, i leveled up my cleric, and i put some into STR on accident.... So, im making a new character, and i've been leaning towards a bandit... So, i was wondering why, all my friends say bandits suck, and i started to believe them when i noticed i barely see any nowadays. o-o So, i'm wondering if i should make a bandit? I know people are going to flame saying, why are you asking Basil?-.-" Or: Make what you want to be, it's not about damage! Well, to me it is about damage, or how hard they are to play :/ Please help me? ;O

Bandits aren't really based on damage. Sure it's fun to be strong, but the farther you go, it's more about the fun and excitement of training. I suggest reading Get real, CBs before making one.

If you're about damage I suggest making a sin because bandits don't really cut it on the damage side. I recently had an 8x CB that was pretty funded and it only did about 10k with sb and it was getting boring to me as the levels went on. It's just my opinion that bandits aren't as fun as everyone says they are and that sins aren't as boring as people say they are.

your friends are stupid Cb's are versatile and well-rounded aka a balance character not good at ONE certain thing but GOOD at MANY THINGS mobbing bossingyea all that good stuff =)

yea bandits are fun and im really getting close to my CB advancement jus 2 more lvls yay but they get alot of skills to use so yea i would make a dit if i were you but you need alot of patience

I have a semi funded dexless cb and he pwns I outdamage sins my lvl easy ppl say they suck because they can't boss they can indeed boss, not very effectively but they can at lvl 94 I did the boss pq and bassed manon, then ran out of time personally I don't like any character better than my cb

Do you guys know where i can find a bandit guide? Also whats the difference between LUK and STR bandits?

They have a good DPM, right? And their skills provide quick training. Plus, throwing stars is fun in general. *Is a sindit* @Above: Just google for a guide. Luk bandits are for using luk equipment and are the stronger of the two early on. Then most people convert to str for the Dragon Khanjar at level 120, because that 15 or so attack is worth putting some str into. Basically it's about the equipment. Also, str puts your low end of your damage range higher up (so your range is less shaky), and luk adds more to you maximum damage.

Are you joking about damage ? I can hit 3k at level 40 . My dexless Sin which is mad funded can only hit 4.5k at 55, without Zhelm. Lol , point is . Some aren't great generically in damage but CB's and Shadowers are INSANE FUN.
