There are so many different builds for a party priest and some seem to get outdated. Sorry for the noob question, but which is the best build? (links are good)

What max898 is rather silly... because, party or no, you'll end up with the same skills at the end of your Priest-hood. The only thing that makes most Priest builds different is the order. The guides are not out-dated, either. For a party Priest, all that matters is that you have HS for training. For boss runs, you'll need Dispel. Door is always nice too.

It mostly depends on what you want to do, getting HS to 30 first is pretty much the gold standard and has been ever since 3rd jobs came out. After that it depends on where you want to train, if you want to do Ludi and MDTs or Grims you'll need to get ER up ASAP. One point in Door can go anywhere while doing these steps so far. Otherwise go with either Shining Ray to help facilitate Hime training and/or mix in some Dispel to help with bossing. Then max Dragon to help supplement damage and finish it off with your choice of Door or Doom.

Well, if you get ER maxed out asap after HS, you wont have a reliable attack to kill the undeads, When you don't have a reliable attack to kill undeads, you won't be training on them even with ER,so maxing ER is useless, unless you have a solid attack skill. So SR is the most important skill to get after HS. This is just my opininion. |

Yeah, you know, aside from Heal. ER gives you survivability in Ludi and when bossing, but not many other places really. If you're going to Hime solo then get SR up instead of ER because ER is useless there. But if you're going with a DK to MDTs or Grims and want to take a hit without needing to use MG then go ER.
