Why do people say clerics are the money makers?

When do they become money makers and how? Is it the fact that they don't use hp pots?

We're not so much money-makers as money-conserving. The lack of need for HP pots, relatively low cost of our main spell, and eventual access to MP Eater allow us to potentially train for tens of levels without ever using a pot. This means, not only are we not paying for potions, but any which we might get during training can be sold for pure profit.

because if they max mp eater and train at healable monsters, they make pure profit because they don't need to use any hp or mp pots

They are money savers rather than money makers, when we talk about training. Regarding Selling leech it's a different story.

Well money making would be because we are needed in PQs such as Ludi Maze and normal Ludi PQ which give good rewards. And well at the higher levels selling yourself as a leech =D

Money SAVERS is correct. They dont need Hp pots, they dont really need to buy staffs and stuff till going solo/ or genesis. And at 120, you can sell Leech for 5mil per hour.. so if u play 10 hours a day and sell leech for 10 hours.. you make 50mil a day (my friend does this and makes atleast 10mil a day) so in 10 days he makes 100mil Lol

we save money when it comes to hp pots since we dont really need it and when your 120 and above you can sell leech

I would never ever ever ever sell leech. Time is precious and killing monsters for 1 hour for 5m is not worth it. I can make more mesos merchanting. :/

I can make more mesos merchanting. :/" Its not only for gaining 5mill/hr you get decent to good exp, because of Genesis being able to hit atleast 15 or so(i am not sure) monsters on the map. Btw you gain equips and drops too. You'd roughly make 7~9mill an hr(considering you get good-decent drops). If you know in merchanting to make money, you need to have money. Also making 5~10mill in an hr is extremely time wasteing and useless compared to the bishops gaining money and exp.

Simply put, as a cleric/priest you dont have to use potions. You wind up with money, as you dont have to be constantly spending it.
