Is my high dex actually perfect?

| My base dex is 107. "OMG U NUB HIGH DEX U SUZ0R". But with 107 dex+15 dex from my zhelm, I have 122 dex total. Wouldn't that be perfect for a ST? Also, it'd mean I wouldn't need a dex bottom, dex shoe, dex pac, etc. I won't have to scroll anything for dex. I can just focus on STR and speed. So, my question is, wouldn't my dex be perfect instead of horrible? |

| It might be perfect for you and that's all that matters, the rest is just details from gardening tools. |

| Well....it may be perfect for you right now... But you see, what's the point of leaving earrings and bottom clean? You can't scroll them for strength or speed, why not scroll them for dex? So somebody with a lower dex would be able to benefit from earrings and bottom, while you don't. |

| It might be nice that you would only need to focus on strength...but doesn't strength equipment cost more than dex equipment.? |

Because scrolling them is expensive, and with the money I use to scroll them for useless dex, I could use it for STR. |

If you had lower base dex, with the dex equips boosting you up to the required level, you could pump the rest of the points into str. Top/cape can be scrolled for str, but then what? After you upgrade those to a decent level, what are you going to do? Spent a couple hundred mill to get them a point or two higher? No; scrolling a face/bottom/shoes would be much more efficient. |

 | Scrolling face is not that great unless you were loaded with money. They're still relatively expensive in comparison to bottoms and shoes. |

What do you do after you've got your STR equips? Like for example, my Paladin has a 13 str 3 atk cape, 20 str top, and the other typical STR-gear (Zakum helm, MoN, weapon). Which of those can I add STR to? |

 | You should forget what everyone is saying about scrolling a top/bottom....if you have the dex you want or need, scroll or save up for a 25str+ overall. Also, I'd say invest in 10 dex earrings then lower your dex. I say that because 10dex is nice. Also, the only gear for STR is capes tops overalls + shields...but yeah The dex you have gives the accuracy that you will never need.....that's why people go dexless, cause it isnt hard to acquire the acc... |

I save my money left over for buying a MoN. Then I use my money for pots for training until I seriously have so much mesos that I'll buy dex quips. I'm not uber-rich o.o |

It's not that high dex is that bad, you can just use STR equips. It's that STR equips reach a limit. Like Stereo said, what will you do when each STR equip upgrade costs hundreds of mil? Meanwhile, the person with a 4 dex base will have a huge advantage over you because they already have 103 str more. Really now, so long as they can get the accuracy to hit things, no matter how good your equips are, unless you have like, perfectly chaosed things, you still can't get 103 str. Also, instead of an ST, they can just use a 1h + shield combo. Another advantage they have over you is MW, which is based off of base str. They have more base str, so they get more from MW. |

 | umm... no >_< i have 75 dex after equips, 10 dex base and i got decent equips for attack i can upgrade to a str top + bottom if i wanted, however, they r extremely rare as well, if i really wanted to, i can wield a ST with 45 base dex easy i should mention that i have 164 acc base, 174 with pill i should also mention, there r FAR more equips that can be scrolled for dex, than str and dex equips come at a fraction of the cost personally, i'd never recommend a base dex above 23 at the extremity, and i'd recommend 4 for the norm =x the bottom line is no matter what, the lower ur dex, the better the final result (goes for ST users as well) |
