Personally, I'm happy that me and my family moved in to America now. At first, like any other person, I was really upset about it, insulting it, but now, I know it's a great country. Being from Ukraine, after the Cherynobyl incident, there's still tons of cancerous radiation (my grandmother died of cancer, we found out she had cancer, AFTER she died). Not even that, but the men would have been drafted at the age of 18 (16?) into the military, the only way to get out of it was if you were a doctor, or not in the country, my uncle left to the US because of it. My mother was a child in Siberia (I know it's Russia, but they're pretty much the same thing), she told me stories of where she would hear many tanks go by the streets while she was sleeping. This country, the US might not be at it's best, or be that great to others, but I'm one of the few people that are really happy to be here, I have many more opportunities in life, and I feel even more confident about the country with Barack Obama as our president. The one thing that really pisses me off though, is the fact that my mother has the education of more than ten years back home in engineering, but that means nothing now.
