Do you think nexon will turn it even between paladins and heroes eventually? I mean, i m aware job and classes have pros and cons. Paladins do very well on elemental weak bosses and mobs, but heroes keep on par and also surpass at neutral bosses like zakum and ht. I love my paladin but the fact that heroes are somewhat more required at most bosses disturbs me. Due heroes, paladins are rarely part of boss runs like zakum and ht. I would like opinions, although i m aware not many people know what nexon knows and does. Discuss.

Nexon and fair are oxymorons.

I never heard of Heroes being one of the fastest 4th job trainers, but I've heard it for Paladins. :D

In the end, it just comes down to funding, and who you know. I run with my guild at Zak, and it's not a problem. In fact, we kill it in a pretty decent time, considering we don't usually take the cookie-cutter Zak group of NLs/BMs/Heroes. I believe all classes have their moments to shine. Back when there was only Ludi, I'd say any priest would have loved to train with a WK at Grims, or Vikings. We're a very good class with the types of skills we're given, the only thing holding us back is lack of compatible content, but it's really not all that bad, I wouldn't trade my Paladin for anything. It's fun, I enjoy what I do. =P

i go away for a while and everyone is still complaining about hero's and pally's? get over it people, they are not equal or were never meant to be, they are completely seperate classes designed to do different things. if you want something to complain about complain that there arent enough high lvl ele-weak monsters.

it's called connections. no matter what class you are, you can get into boss runs with connections. i went to zak first time at lvl 110 as a WK. why they got me? i knew right people.

Well comparing Heros to Pally's is the same as comparing any job with any other. It's the same as comparing a Hero to a NL. Like you stated, every job does have it's Pro and Cons, and were made that way because if you wanted Pally's to be on the same lvl as Heros, then they wouldnt be an original and unique class.

kirayamato26eh, blast's damage should be boosted to like 700%, or at least to 650% then it'd be good cuz 550% for a single target skill is like whatbbq

I would be tempted to say Heroes and Paladins are pretty close one of each other at 4th job advance; they got ACB, we got ACA; they got holy charge, we got enrage; we got brandish, they got blast; the only missing thing is that pallys got HH and got rid of having to "recharge" their main attack buff, heroes still have to "recharge" and be cautious on when to use certain attacks because of the usual training pattern as saders, but in the end that is what makes sweet 4th job for each class and keeps some of the original challenge and gameplay style also. Bossing issues are a matter of contacts as said before, heroes don t have anything to do with the organizers choosing who goes in a run (mostly damage crazed/efficiency maniacs/or profit potential organizers do that kind of choosing)

kirayamato26hmm... blast is single target, brandish hits 3 in the time u guys kill 3 monsters, we kill 1, or none (takes another hit for ACB to kill) therefore, if blast is a single target skill, it might as well as kill things in 1 hit
elant02 Jul 07 2009 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
The thing is, blast might be the strongest single target offensive skill on the game but the fact that it only hits a single target and it does 1155% damage on holy weak and 770% on neutral mobs doesn't make it very good. This info is from kirayamato26 paladins guide, among the best paladins guides i have seen. i always thought heroes and paladins were equally strong in the end, i had no idea. I often compared heroes and paladins but i always forgot facts like brandish 2 hits and ac. Paladins blast and acb = heroes brandish, heavens hammer not being spammable (although, this skill couldn't be better, otherwise it would be broken), and most bosses not being elemental weak turn things uneven between them.
kirayamato26 07/07/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
kirayamato26eh, HH can be better, hit 900% damage, no cooldown =3 it's like spamming gen, but for paladins =D
