Go mist. Don't listen to him. He told me that F/P suck, then started to play it again a week later. :O Joe, did you go ultimate 4th job build.

I told you so ;D Mist is so fast, and you'll be doing it forever. Explosion however, it requires commitment and it is slower. I'm strange like that though, and it's late at night so I doubt I'm thinking correctly. |

Mist will probably be better, and i heard Explosion was as slow as Thunder Spear. Explosion's range is the same as Ice Strike, so level 1 explosion will have a horrible range, while mist can be used multiple time and can fill up the map you're on, so in a sense it surpasses any other skill's range.

Why do people still ask this question, honestly? <_< I know mist is redundant and all that, but jeez, it's way faster than explosion.

people ask because they dont know. The real question, is why people dont research before asking. on topic: Poison training will always be faster than fire training, due to the fact you can train on monsters as long as you can take a hit from them [and are poisonable] Explosion is a nice accesory to mist because it can finish of monsters with a mob attack, instead of having to spam it to kill monsters which is astromonically slower, than decreasing the hp of an entire map at a time. Anyway Poison mist should be maxed first.

I still think it is not a smart decision to go fizard and then explo first in 3rd job. Everyone here will say that mist always beats explosion in terms of training speed, and they're right by far . @ torchalan: wanted to maybe try explo first, eh? I think that can actually work pretty well if the character is hybrid/pizard in 2nd. I mean PB is still a good skill even in 3rd job for some time. PB is basically a nerfed mist yet still has pretty much the same effect on the poisoned monster. Come to think of it, this may be a hypothetical training route for a hybrid -> explo-first mage: 70-75: kents with PB (very, very good exp) 75-80: squids with PB (still very good exp, and using near-maxed explo as a finisher) 80-9x: with explo now maxed/28 at 80, you can go ahead and try mobbing blue kents/or some other high-lvl fire-weak monsters. Also, 80-90 you go ahead and max mist (or perhaps amp/booster 11+). But seriously, mist is arguably the most effective attack in the entire game, why not take advantage of it asap?

Mist uses more pots for training, but thats what im maxing first because of the very good exp you get from training on higher level monsters earlier

When i started misting skeles during my 8x levels people accused me of hacking cause I was leveling every 30-40 minutes. 8x-14x has gone by really quick.
