I've been wondering lately how paladins make money. I know that paladins save money from training due to ACB and all but are there any other things that pallies can do to make money, besides merchanting, nx or anything of that sort?

Not really. We aren't wanted much at bosses, so don't count on pay checks from that. We can't sell leech nearly as well as mages, so that's checked off too. We have no real, definite method to "make" money. The best we can do is either to save money via ACB + Freeze and gradually make positive balances when we train, or on the off chance from the drops we make off training. If you get to the point where training consumes less pots than the amount of mesos dropped by monsters in one session, you'll actually gain money. Any drops after that is just like a bonus payday. It sucks doesn't it >.>? But hey, almost every other non-mage class has the same issue. On the subject of leeching.. Though... I guess, if you wanted to, you could try and sell Bigfoot but that would require quite an amount of initial investment in equips, possible washing, and practice before you'd have a competitive edge to sell. My current idea has been to use HH as a means to leech. So far I've found it works pretty well for Pages/Fighters with PG at 6X at Peak, and also Himes is a great place to do it if you have a willing leecher who can hit all the Himes and mob them to you to HH and kill. I've only been messing around with friends to try this out, so I have no idea if HH Leech will ever be a viable business considering how lazy the MS population has become as a whole.

Like what Remington said, we have no real way of making money besides the whole merchanting thing or anything that has to do with nx. The way I made money is by training and being what I call a pack rat. A pack rat, in my definition, is picking up every single meso or monster drop that I see from defeated monsters. It slows down training a bit, but if money is generated through it, I will sacrifice a bit of time here and there. I make pretty good money from every level at red wyverns. The money that I get from them pays for potions and even gives me a bit of extra to put in my piggy bank. Some paladins that sell BF or HH leech make pretty decent money, more so than my method, but whatever works, right? My way works for me just fine and I'm happy with it. I've exaggerated a bit, here and there, but you get the general idea.

Area bosses make good money, because they're easy to kill & have decent scrolls. I found a 60% overall luk from Kimera (after killing ~40), and that's probably more profit than I made in the last 3-4 levels of training.

WolfJouninOnce upon a time, it was through Grupins. Before I quit, it was through soloing Pianus (since I could Amoria PQ, I'd use a single apple in each run to cut the duration of the fight greatly, though to my understanding, the price of onyx apples has skyrocketed, and selling them would be more profitable now).

Yeah, about being a packrat, I usually make money from training doing that without the drops. The drops are a bonus, lol. But it sort of stinks that we can't go on Zruns and get money from there and all. I might try the HH leech idea once I get it maxed at like lvl 156, I got some people asking me to max HH so I can leech them, lol. Edit: What about CWKPQ? Are rushers desperately needed so that they would want any 4th job warrior?

HHing the arms and mobs is a great benefit to any Zak party. I was asked to join a few groups at 13X as I maxed HH and I've been running with one group for a few runs now. And I don't even have Blast or Stance! I use ACB for most of my damage, hitting multiple arms and stunning the mobs just as they're summoned. While it may not seem like HHing does it much, it adds up as you do 1.6m damage per 20 seconds to the Arms ontop of attack damage. When the mobs get heavily thrown at you, you jump on the plat and Hammer them. It'll hit Zak and and the mobs will come flying at you where a couple ACBs will clear it. Your party will love you if you keep the mobs outta their way and do damage even when Zak has super def. I don't know what the rates are for groups in your server but this particular group pays me 8.5m a run and provides me an Apple =). Not bad considering my investment for each run is about 100-150 Ales and 300 Honsters.

I also heard that your HH pwns the arms of zakum while you were killing it yesterday and the day before yesterday But OT you can always go boss hunting on lower lvl bosses like zmm, balrog or some erea bosses. EDIT: i didnt read your last post where you told you go on zruns :P xD

Wait, you don't happen to have a certain Gunslinger than got a Zhelm the other day, do you...?

If you make money through training like I do, I don't see the reason to try and make more money outside merchanting for equips.
