Recently i was in perion and i had a metal axe for my lil noob warrior and i just turned level 15 and i bought a sabre and a shield and i noticed that the level 10 metal axe gave more atk and they have the same atk though 32 and 32 i was just curious if 1H weapons were weaker than 2H weapons even though the have the same atk

If I remember right, 1 H has a weaker Atk multiplier than 2 H. So same Atk doesn't mean they have the same damage. But in 1st job, I think it's recommended to go Spear since it has the best multiplier and there are some Spears that aren't that slow. :D

In 1st job, its recommended you get the fastest weapon you can get your hands on, or maybe a polearm. Spears are the worst possible weapon before 3rd job, usually, except in the case of maple impaler, but it still kind of sucks.

Just as IceCold says, 2h weapons have a different formula (basically, different calculations, and 2h has higher percentages for minimum and maximum damage). 1H weapons aren't bad, but I'm all for 2h, because the greater range allow you to kill enemies before they can reach you, and in fewer shots. Later in the game, where enemies can deal massive damage and take a lot of hits to kill, or in areas where you mob enemies up together in order for best EXP, and for bosses with loads of HP, attack speed will win over more base damage due to DPS. Using Spears in the 1st job is useless unless you have a REALLY godly spear-type weapon, and they are also useless in the 2nd job unless you are going Pure Spear, but who does that now a days? Spears do more damage than Polearms when you stab, but you slash 60% of the time, so Polearms are always better in the 1st and 2nd job. I personally prefer 2h swords though in the 1st job (and 2nd, but in the 1st job you can use anything regardless of your future class), as they are faster than spears/polearms and have stable damage in the base damage, and always do the same damage regardless of slash/stab (while that makes spears/polearms even MORE unstable).

Is there an ACTUAL reason for you to post this on Basil? |

I used 1h swords up to lvl 25, after that I used the fusion mace to lvl 30. I didn't think it was that bad. And ther fusion mace was tight since its faster speed. I actually perfered the 1hands because with the 2nands the monster would be right next to me and I wouldn't hit it
