Why isnt it legal for recreational purposes? i mean it just doesnt make sense to me. i also dont understand why alcohol and tobacco are legal while they are much much worse for u then marijuana. First let me state the annual deaths of alcohol, tobbaco and marijuana in the untied states. According to drugwarfacts.org the annual deaths due to tobbaco in the U.S is 450,000, Alcohol 85,000 and marijuana a wopping 0 deaths. Obviously marijuana is the least lethal out of the three. Hemp also comes from the canibis plant and hemp is a very useful resource. hemp can be made into clothes, shoes, lotions, oils, medications u name it. According to cannibudculture.com "hemp has always been known as the most medicinal plant in the world". its also been proving that it can pttentially cure cancer. According to link Clinical trial data published in January 2003 issue of the Journal of the American Society of Clinical Investigation that found cannabinoids significantly inhibit skin tumor growth in mice.so at this moment in time i dont understand why it isnt legal.

I've never done it. I don't care if it is legalized or not, so as long as it has the same laws as alcohol.

Because the government hasn't figured out a way to control the traffic king, growing, or taxation of said substance. Once they have a good plan for it, ganj for all! I'm all for legalization as long as it's taxed the ! out of it.

It's really hard to control how much you inhale also, were alcohol one more sip is okay and tobacco doesn't impair you anyways.

In California, marijuana products as well as plants are legally distributed from state-licensed vendors. It is legal on a state level but not on a federal level, yet both the federal and state governments get tax revenue from the shops themselves. It's a good source of income for both the state and the federal government; it would stop the smuggling of marijuana from mexico and canada; it would not make smuggling marijuana profitable for drug cartels; etc...
