I'm using a vista. I heard that some people dc because they happen to use vista. Is that true? And if so How can I prevent this from happening?

Try playing in window mode it worked for me.

Theres nothing wrong with vista -.- possible dc in zakum is the 3rd body, where you need a pretty decent high speed internet

Don't even worry about DCing. Just play in window, and change the quality every body. Also, make sure your specs are or better than 1.8 GHz, 2Gb RAM. Downloading DirectX10 really helps decline the lag.

my zrun organiser said to just alt tab during first body and that will refresh maple for me or something and that it has worked for all his other buyers

its mainly because of lag because vista uses almost/lil more then a gig just to run everything, windows xp doesn't take nearly as much, i have 2 gig ram and i just upgraded from windows xp to vista and maplestory is pretty laggy compared to xp.. so google gamebooster its a program that shuts down all unused procresses like the side bar and many other things and that greatly increased the speed of maplestory when i play

Dced 2 times in Vista [Visual c++ Error]. Changed to XP and was fine.

Ok. I have Vista, and I Zrun almost everyday, On my Main account. And what I do, is when I go in, the altar, My Graphic settings are at the Highest, then when one arms left, I lower it down by one, then when the 1st body is done, I lower it another time, and so on and so forth. This solution has worked for me and many other Vista users.
