I need help. I need help. My GPA fell from 3.1 to 2.3. And I'm in 7th grade. My dad doesn't know my report card has come to my house through the mail and I have asked my mom to take care of telling my dad. But I want to do it. How do I tell him? Should I quit Maple? Take a break? I've been playing for around 1 year. Fully one year. Please. Help me. My dad's an asian and so am I. Asian parents take grades SERIOUSLY. Please give me ways to tell my dad without him getting all mad....[._.] And how do I balance out my Maple Time and my Study Time? D: Please help me...T-T And this is not a quitting thread. This is an asking thread IF I should quit or not.

lmao at "my dad is asian and i'm asian too" NO WAI! An asian parent with a black kid? Back on topic: You should study first, then play maple. And if you get a day of no maple, then oh well. It's not going to kill you.

You need to learn how to control yourself. Mine went fro ma 3.8 to a 4.2 GPA. It's not the game, it's you.

darkballer3Do what I did and only play on weekends. But after awhile, I wanted to play maple everyday, so what I did was do my homework after school at school where I don't get distracted, then come home and play ms if I have spare time.

Well if you need to tell your dad, just tell him. Its much better to say " hey dad, i'm not doing so great in school. BUT don't worry, i'm going to start doing better " then to say " Hypothetically, what would you do if i were failing a class or two... oh, kill me? never mind, i forgot what i was gunna tell you "

Make yourself work as long as you play. Therefore, the longer you work, the greater your reward becomes. But make sure you're actually working, none of that pretend procrastination crap.

so fuukn stereotypical. I'm asian and my parents are that strict. Stop exaggerating and just quit, no one cares.

Only play on weekends unless you have a very important project. That's what I do.

Don't tell him. Bring up your grades. Show him the good grades. Done. You play whatever amount you can as long as you accomplish that.

First you should take a break till next year. When you think you can handle the rest of the 6weeks, then you can re-join. If you feel like your grades are dropping again then you should take breaks. Alot of people say that they don't wanna quit because there friends are gonna pass them and they are gonna miss there friends but Education> A online video game. For telling your dad, I told my dad when he was kind of drunk, and its the best time, but if your father isn't the happiest drunk you should just tell him straight foward and tell him the truth. It might hurt, but its better from keeping it from him.

Learn how to manage your time; know your priorities. Finish all your work before playing Maple. You don't have to quit, unless you feel that you can't stop playing. Maybe take a break and play in the summer? That's what I always do. Been playing for 4 years, but I only play in the summer.

Im a straight A student w/o studying. Do all homework before playing. Pace yourself on projects. Pay attention and concentrate in class. On major tests, I might to study 1hr max the night before. Its easy. Do your h/w. Its great practice. Paying attention/concentrating makes it as easy as Maple Island. As for your dad, I have no experience with a dad or (majorly) dropping grades, sorry.
