Question about god and the devil

Well, Obviously the Devil and God don't like each other right? Then why would the Devil (if he even exists) help "God" by punishing people who "sin"? Wouldn't the Devil make hell a paradise for "bad" people? Just seems very contradicting to me.

Well god doesnt' want to lose people, which is why the devil is bad, He makes people stray away from heavens design, God cannot accept someone like that so the devil is bad, god in reality wants everyone to be in heaven.

The Devil is supposedly jus ticked off at God for banishing and whatnot. Why would he care about the souls of petty people? It's not like you could appeal to the guy.

The Devil does not help God punish people. God punishes people, the Devil makes it worse.

God loves everyone. EDIT: The flames in Hell are gods love, it only hurts because they don't accept it. @below Because they don't forgive themselves.

There is nothing in the Devil's nature that would allow him to do anything beneficial, and the reverse for God: there is nothing in his nature that permits Him to kill or punish without a reason, being a just god. That's Satan's job.
