| Hi. Some of you may remember me from several months ago when I released the beginnings of a new job I was creating, Ninjas. At first there was mostly flame. A good deal of flame was replaced with enthusiasm after I showed more information. Although, flame remained. To prove that my colleagues and I are totally serious about this, we have made tremendous progress in the past month or two in skills and ideas. While there is definitely a ways left to go still, we feel that we are getting closer to our goal. In preparation for many of your comments and in hopes of deterring some of them, I give you my response to any and all flame. 1. I do not watch or read the Naruto series. I greatly dislike Naruto. Any similarities are purely coincidence. 2. This is designed to be a cross between Warriors, Thieves, and Magicians without being too much of a copy cat. If you think it's too close to another job, tell me nicely and I'll try to fix it. 3. On a similar note: If you think something is overpowered, underpowered, too expensive, or flawed in another way, don't just tell me "that doesn't work." Tell me what needs to be fixed in what aspect and how you would suggest I do it. Otherwise, nothing will change. 4. I'm not trying to be historically accurate. I'm trying to make a fun new job. Please don't talk to me about Japanese history, as I am familiar with what ninjas really were and did. 5. I have a rocket launcher*. Your argument is invalid**. All right then. Let's get started. Table of Contents Basics and Job Tree First Job Skills (Seito) Second Job Skills (Wanderer) Second Job Skills (Elementalist) Third Job Skills (Samurai) Third Job Skills (Taoist) Bottom Basics and the Tree When a player makes the job advancement to Seito, the first phase of the Ninja, their stats will be reallocated as following: STR : 4 DEX: 15 INT : 15 LUK: 4 EXTRA : 31 To take the path of a Wanderer, one will want to increase their INT to their current level +5. Thus, at level 20, a players INT would be 25, and at level 30, their INT would be 35. All other points gained would need to be placed in DEX. If one was to aspire to become an Elementalist, they would have to do exactly the opposite. Their DEX would be their current level +5, and other points would go into INT. Summary: Wanderers: Pwr stat = DEX, 2ndary stat = INT, INT = LVL + 5 Elementalists: Other way around O_o Wanderers wield either a Katana, a traditional Japanese long-sword held in one or two hands, or shorter Wakizashis and Short Swords (also available to warriors (like STR daggers :P) ). Elementalists would hold magic-infused cards called Seals. Job Tree: First Job : Seito Second Job : Wanderer or Elementalist Third Job : Samurai or Taoist Fourth Job : Belisarian (up for replacement) or Monk Job Specifics: Elementalist Path: Skills would be spells based around elements that arent used by Magicians yet. For example, water, earth, darkness. Also, some skills may be combinations of multiple elements (i.e. Thunderstorm: |
