It is RandomGenius's and I am posting it for him since he is on leave So basically, everyone knows Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are coming out, and there is a motherload of new things to poke around with! Concepts Brought Back and IMPROVED - All 493 pokemon can be chosen to follow you during the game. Contrary to popular belief, it is not just the starters. Yes this includes legendaries and large pokemon like Steelix. -However, it is yet to be let out how most water pokemon get around, though. -The Kanto region is still in the game, but pictures show that there seems to be two new areas. One near the National Park (for people who never played G/S/C, it was Johto's Safari Zone) and one near Cianwood City. A map with the said areas will soon be added. Brand New to Gold and Silver! - GROUDON, KYOGRE, AND RAYQUAZA all make an appearence in Heart Gold and Soul SIlver. Apparently, Kyogre is available in Heart Gold, while Groudon is available in Soul Silver. When these two pokemon are brought together into the same game, Rayquaza will be made catachable. Start chosing which one you wnat. - A Jirachi event is available in Japan from June 19 - July 17 for Pokemon Pearl, Diamond and Platinum.. The Jirachi comes holding a Leichi Berry, and the move DRACO METEOR! In addition, when traded into Heart Gold and Soul Silver, a new area will be unlocked for you to explore. - ARCEUS also makes an appearence in the game. Cynthia comes back as well, who seems to have temporary amnesia. "Fresh from her memory wipe, Cynthia wonders if the three flashing circles on the floor next to Arceus means that something big is about to happen." - link Don't Forget the Touch Screen -A new kind of pokedex is here, its table based. I guess its easier to navigate through. -This pokedex is operatable by the touch screen in a brand new way. -The pack, bag, and status screen will also be operatable by the touch screen. -Pics of these will soon be posted. I have them but am having trouble posting up. Events -Events that have been announced so far for Japan are The previously mentioned Arceus and Jirachi events, and a Pikachu-colored Pichu and Notched-ear Pichu event. -The Arceus event will be given out in Japanese movie theaters during the showing of the twelfth Pokemon movie.When sent over to Heart Gold or Soul Silver, when you reach the Ruins of Alph, a new area called the Shinto Ruins will be unlocked. Little is known about this area, but you will be able to meet Cynthia and possibly get a level 1 Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina. -The Jirachi event started on June 18 (June 19 in Japan) and is being given over Wi-Fi in Japan. The Jirachi will unlock an unknown area in Heart Gold and Soul Silver when transferred to either game. -The Pichus event also has to do with the twelfth Pokemon movie. A Pikachu-colored Pichu is also given to you when you go to a movie theater in Japan to see the movie. When you bring that Pichu to Ilex Forest, a Notched-ear Pich |
