Is a 23 str overall better than a 32 dex overall?

Yes because 23 stats will add more to your damage than 32.

The only difference you would see is that MW would have a greater effect on the 23permanent dex points, but maybe not enough to outweigh the 32.

Prob not but MW only applies to base stats so maybe like a 20 str overall will give you more damage than a 21 dex overall or something like that but i dunno. I haven't really thought about it all that hard so someone tell me if i'm wrong lol.

... This is inspiring me to write a thread ... maybe tomorrow Basically low str slingers (i mean the ones that try to stay under 40 ish) are dumb... wasting money on str gear is pointless, dex gear is significantly cheaper and has the same affect

With MW the 23 STR would give you 25 DEX. 32 DEX is 32 DEX no matter what.

JW.. i can afford a 30str+ overall.. and a 30+ dex overall as well.. i've gone through the slinger/outlaw/corsair flaunting thread.. and found out that most corsairs go w/ a lower base str w/ a str overall.. instead of a higher base str.. and a dex overall. i'd assume that having the same stat.. as in 25str and 25 dex.. overalls.. you'd spend less money on the dex overall than w/ the str overall. o.o is mw the decided being low str + str overall.. and normal str + dex overall. o.o uhh.. my grammar is bad, and my post is not contextualized. =( ty for any replies.

@ above you confused me a little but thats prob cuz i'm tired. Considering dex overalls seem to be cheaper you should be able to get a 30+ dex overall for the same price as a 30 str. If you're talkin about endgame, the question is will the base dex gained from equipping a str overall while using MW outweigh the dex you could get from a dex overall for the same price. Basically if you can get a 30 str overall (33 dex with MW) for X amount of mesos, could you get a 33+ dex overall for the same price? If so go with the dex, if not go with the str. I'm sure there are other considerations too but thats what I'm thinking right now.

It depends. Before you have access to MW, the 32 DEX overall is better then the 23 STR one, but once your able to get MW and you level up more, like 15x+, thats when the difference between those who have more base str and those who have less start to show. To me, since I'm too lazy to look up threads about new weapons and junk I feel that its better to more base str, so that if a new weapon comes out, I won't *censor* myself because I'm not able to wear the new weapon and that I'm freaking out because I don't have enough mesos to be able to fund myself so I can get the neccesary gear with STR to wear said weapon. If your question involves mesos, since STR overall just came out, their prices are significantly higher then DEX, so your most likely better of going with the dex overall and having more base STR. Also, remember that attack is > STR, so don't get too stingy about it. Depending on how YOU feel how long your going to play your corsair, short term DEX overall is probably better, long term (as in endgame Lvl 200) the STR one is better.
