Gunslingers weak?

My slinger is level 18 right now and he hits around 90ish max and 17ish per double shot (so 180 max and 26 lowest) I am using an 8atk wg and +10 atk pots. Will it stay like this?

Mastery in 2nd job helps, but you're not gonna be poppin' 1k's anytime soon. xD

Double Shot sucks that way. I'm somewhat funded at level 50 and the most I can hit is about 1300 with 2 the hits put together. The speed somewhat kinda makes up for it though, along with Invisible shot.

its ok the speed makes up for everything just shoot far away and spam it they'll die before they reach your feet

I'm lv 64 and I hit 1k X 2 on teddies w/ war elixer I hope that helps And i'm kinda funded 3 atk 10 STR cape , 9atk wg , and a 75 atk gun 662 ~ 1172 clean range.

im unfunded and i hit 200-600 on tauros, usually 300 or 400 and in cpq, i only started to really kill at low fourties

They're certainly not weak. Don't let the low damage fool you, our speed of attack is really high.

To be honest, slingers are weak as hell until third job, but dear god 3rd job (yes level 70, not even just mid 3rd job) is AMAZING. At level 70 (pre advance) i used a gelt chocolate to kill kyrin. After the advance I was hitting more damage with burstfire than I was with the gelt chocolate on kyrin... It is worth the wait... trust me
