Why can't guys hit girls?

The only reason I can think of is that woman are weaker than men and it's wrong to pick on the weak. Is there a better reason than the one I stated for this rule? It annoys me because some girls think it's okay to talk trash just because they won't get hurt.

There is no law against it (excludes assault etc..) specifically saying you cant hit women..

It's a stupid rule and, yes, the reason you thought of is basically the reason why you can't. I say, if the girl has enough nerve to be a total "female dog", hit her.
