Running MS in a window

Hi, so i heard from a semi-unreliable source that you can run MS in a window to lessen the lag or whatever. Can someone tell me how to go about doing this or link me to a thread discussing it, if it actually works and is it legal; I don't want to get banned so close to MM. I have Vista if that matters

Alt + Enter, but the minimize and maximize buttons will be disabled. For that, just use MSWnd (if you don't want to keep DxWnd open).

for some wierd reason my fps drops alot when I play in windowd mode, but full screen it runs fine. Really wierd since I never had this problem before.

after your loged in and everything ready to play the game. hit the esc button. game options i think it is. . at the bottom left of that menu when it pops up you see two choices. one to run in full screen and one to run in a window. you have to check the black box that says run in window. hit the orange ok button at the very bottom of that screen and your done. on my computer the lag is the same either way. so i just stay away from the heavier channels. and the lag disappears until my virtual memory starts to run low. peace. gregg
