My parent's relatives are coming over, and apparently miscommunication happened, and they think I'm a chef at a 4 star restaurant. I think my parents told them I WORK at a 4 star restaurant, and they assumed the best. I'm just a waiter, so... >__> I don't want to disappoint them, since they're coming here all the way from China (here being California), so I was wondering if there's anything American that's easy to cook and will please their tastes. Thanks Basil!

LEMON CAKE FOR DESSERT. You get to torture a lemon. I did it in my Food Science & Nutrition class. Mmm. I love manhandling lemons.

Steps for success: 1. Order something from some place. 2. Pour/put food on some fancy china. 3. Throw away all carry-out packages 4. Tell them you cooked it 5. Deal with the guilt that you deceived your own family into thinking that you are something better than you really are

johnbrown said: " japanese food" I don't know any Chinese people that like Japanese food. Follow the advice of the person who suggested takeout from a nice restaurant.

Man, I wish I was there. We'd make some kickass grilled burgers or something. edit: Whoever suggested takeout is a genius. Just do that, instead. Your parents know you're not a chef, so they can probably help. xd
