Well, have fun reading * The Netherlands covers only 0.008% of the world�s area. * There are twice as many bikes as cars in the country * Approximately a quarter of the Netherlands is below sea level * Dutch people are the tallest in Europe * There are more than 10,000 windmills in the country. * Amsterdam is the country�s capital, but The Hague is the seat of government * The Dutch are the world�s second biggest coffee drinkers, after the Scandinavians. * "the Netherlands" and "Holland" are used to describe the same country. * The Netherlands has approximately 480 inhabitants per square kilometre. * Dutch is also spoken in Belgium, northern France, Suriname, the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba? * The Netherlands has nearly 1,000 museums. * The famous painters Van Gogh and Rembradnt are Dutch. * The Netherlands' highest point is 321 metres high. * Dutch is one of the hardest languages to learn. * Most Dutch people speak at least one foreign language. * The foreign languages we HAVE to learn at school are: English, German And French ( 'Gymnasium' have to learn Greek and Latin too) * Some schools even teach Spanish and Chinese. * People of 200 nationalities live in Amsterdam. * When your plane arrives at Schiphol, it lands 4.5 metres below sea level * when Dutch schoolchildren pass their exams, they hang a Dutch flag and a school bag outside their homes. * Holland is also very well know for it's red light district which you can find in Amsterdam * Rotterdam has one of the greatest harbours in the world. * Spain and France are the favourite holiday-countries of the Dutch people. * 84% of Dutch households have a PC, and 80% have access to the Internet. * Frisian is an official language not an accent! * Some of the major cities of the world were once Dutch: New York, Colombo (Sri Lanka), Recife (Brazil) and Jakarta (Indonesia). * Dutch people actually hate it when you confuse them with germans. * Holland was one of the richest countries in the 17th century. * Queen 'Beatrix' married to a German and many people didn't approve it because of WWII * The Netherlands has the highest population density of any European country with over 1 million inhabitants. * We call a designated driver a ''Bob''.

Everyone hates smokers and drugsusers in Holland. And they HATE it when people say Dutch people are drugs and crime people. We have one of the nicest community on earth Im a huge Holland fan, just like the TS 100% dutch for me
